أكدت وسائل إعلام لبنانية، اليوم (الخميس)، أن غارتين إسرائيليتين استهدفتا جسراً رئيسياً في جنوب لبنان، ما أدى إلى تدميره بالكامل، في تصعيد جديد يطال البنية التحتية الحيوية في المنطقة.
وذكرت الوكالة الوطنية للإعلام أن الطيران الحربي الإسرائيلي نفذ غارتين متتاليتين استهدفتا جسر القاسمية، وهو آخر ممر يربط منطقة صور بمدينة صيدا، جنوب لبنان، ما أدى إلى تدميره بشكل كامل.
وقال مسؤول لبناني إن الغارات «نسفت الجسر بالكامل دون أي إمكانية لإصلاحه»، في إشارة إلى حجم الدمار الذي لحق بالموقع.
تدمير متواصل للجسور على نهر الليطاني
وكان الجيش الإسرائيلي قد دمر تباعاً منذ 2 مارس أربعة جسور رئيسية على نهر الليطاني، الذي يقسم جنوب لبنان إلى قسمين، في إطار عمليات عسكرية متواصلة تستهدف خطوط الإمداد والحركة في المنطقة.
غارات إضافية في النبطية وسقوط جرحى
وفي سياق متصل، أفادت الوكالة اللبنانية للإعلام بأن غارة إسرائيلية أخرى استهدفت حي الراهبات في مدينة النبطية جنوبي لبنان.
كما أشارت إلى إصابة ثلاثة أشخاص جراء غارة نفذتها طائرة مسيّرة إسرائيلية استهدفت بستاناً في منطقة الواسطة جنوبي البلاد.
تصعيد في جنوب اللبناني
تشهد المناطق الجنوبية في لبنان منذ أسابيع تصعيداً متواصلاً في الاستهدافات الإسرائيلية، مع تركيز متزايد على البنية التحتية، خصوصاً الجسور والطرق الحيوية التي تربط القرى والبلدات الواقعة جنوب نهر الليطاني بشماله.
ويُعد نهر الليطاني خطاً جغرافياً وإستراتيجياً يفصل مناطق واسعة من الجنوب اللبناني، ما يجعل الجسور المقامة عليه ذات أهمية بالغة في الحركة المدنية والعسكرية على حد سواء.
ويأتي استهداف جسر القاسمية في سياق سلسلة ضربات طالت خلال الفترة الأخيرة عدداً من الجسور الحيوية، ما أدى إلى عزل بعض المناطق وتعقيد حركة التنقل والإمداد، في ظل استمرار التوتر الميداني في الجنوب اللبناني وتوسع رقعة الاستهدافات الجوية.
Lebanese media confirmed today (Thursday) that two Israeli airstrikes targeted a major bridge in southern Lebanon, completely destroying it, in a new escalation affecting vital infrastructure in the region.
The National News Agency reported that Israeli warplanes carried out two consecutive strikes targeting the Qasmiyeh Bridge, the last passage connecting the Tyre area to the city of Sidon in southern Lebanon, resulting in its complete destruction.
A Lebanese official stated that the airstrikes “completely blew up the bridge with no possibility of repair,” indicating the extent of the damage inflicted on the site.
Continuous destruction of bridges on the Litani River
The Israeli army has sequentially destroyed four major bridges on the Litani River since March 2, which divides southern Lebanon into two parts, as part of ongoing military operations targeting supply and movement lines in the area.
Additional airstrikes in Nabatieh and injuries reported
In a related context, the Lebanese news agency reported that another Israeli airstrike targeted the Sisters’ neighborhood in the city of Nabatieh in southern Lebanon.
It also indicated that three people were injured as a result of a strike carried out by an Israeli drone targeting an orchard in the Al-Wasita area in the south of the country.
Escalation in southern Lebanon
The southern regions of Lebanon have been experiencing a continuous escalation in Israeli targeting for weeks, with an increasing focus on infrastructure, particularly bridges and vital roads connecting villages and towns south of the Litani River to those in the north.
The Litani River is a geographical and strategic line that separates vast areas of southern Lebanon, making the bridges built on it of utmost importance for both civilian and military movement.
The targeting of the Qasmiyeh Bridge comes as part of a series of strikes that have recently affected several vital bridges, leading to the isolation of some areas and complicating movement and supply lines, amid ongoing field tensions in southern Lebanon and an expansion of aerial targeting.
