فيما لا تزال أزمة مضيق هرمز تلقي بظلالها على مستوى العالم، عقدت وزيرة الخارجية البريطانية إيفيت كوبر «اجتماعاً مهماً» مع وزير خارجية باكستان إسحاق دار، بشأن أهمية تمديد وقف إطلاق النار وإعادة فتح طرق الشحن عبر مضيق هرمز بشكل كامل.
وأعربت كوبر عن امتنان المملكة المتحدة لباكستان على الدور الذي تضطلع به في تسهيل المحادثات الدبلوماسية، بين طهران وواشنطن.
وأظهرت بيانات تتبع السفن أن ناقلتي غاز بترولي مسال كانتا في طريقهما لمغادرة الخليج العربي قامتا بالاستدارة بشكل مفاجئ، بحسب شبكة CNN الأمريكية.
والسفينتان، اللتان تم التعرف عليهما عبر منصة MarineTraffic باسم «ميدا» و«G Summer»، كانتا الوحيدتين اللتين تبثان إشارات نشطة أثناء محاولتهما عبور الممر المائي.
ولم تُظهر البيانات مرور أي سفن أخرى في الاتجاهين، عقب إعلان الحرس الثوري الإيراني، أمس السبت، إغلاق المضيق مجدداً أمام الملاحة.
يذكر أن الناقلة «ميدا»، مملوكة ومُدارة من قبل شركة هندية، بينما «G Summer»، مملوكة لشركة صينية، وقد غيرت كلتاهما مسارهما جنوب جزيرة جزيرة لارك الإيرانية.
من جانبه، قال نائب وزير الخارجية الإيراني سعيد خطيب زاده إن طهران لن ترسل أي مواد مُخصبة إلى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، مضيفاً أن هذا الموضوع «لا يُمكن طرحه».
وأضاف في تصريحات لوكالة «أسوشيتدبرس»: «يمكنني أن أؤكد لكم أنه لن يتم شحن أي مواد مخصبة إلى الولايات المتحدة».
وكان الرئيس دونالد ترمب، أعلن الولايات المتحدة ستحصل على ما وصفه بـ«الغبار النووي» من إيران، في إشارة إلى اليورانيوم الإيراني المخصب.
As the crisis in the Strait of Hormuz continues to cast its shadow over the world, British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper held an “important meeting” with Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar regarding the importance of extending the ceasefire and fully reopening shipping routes through the Strait of Hormuz.
Cooper expressed the United Kingdom’s gratitude to Pakistan for its role in facilitating diplomatic talks between Tehran and Washington.
Ship tracking data showed that two liquefied petroleum gas carriers, which were on their way to leave the Arabian Gulf, suddenly turned around, according to CNN.
The two vessels, identified via the MarineTraffic platform as “Mida” and “G Summer,” were the only ones broadcasting active signals while attempting to cross the waterway.
The data did not show any other ships passing in either direction following the announcement by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard on Saturday that the strait was once again closed to navigation.
It is noted that the tanker “Mida” is owned and operated by an Indian company, while “G Summer” is owned by a Chinese company, and both changed their course south of Iran’s Lark Island.
For his part, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh stated that Tehran will not send any enriched materials to the United States, adding that this issue “cannot be raised.”
He further stated in remarks to the Associated Press: “I can assure you that no enriched materials will be shipped to the United States.”
President Donald Trump had announced that the United States would receive what he described as “nuclear dust” from Iran, referring to enriched Iranian uranium.
