قبيل الجولة الثانية المرتقبة من المفاوضات، اتهم الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، إيران بـ«انتهاك وقف إطلاق النار عدة مرات»، بحسب تدوينة مقتضبة على منصة «تروث سوشيال».
موقف تفاوضي قوي
ونقلت شبكة CNBC، عن ترمب قوله: إن الولايات المتحدة «مستعدة للتدخل عسكرياً» ضد إيران، لافتا إلى أنه «لا يريد تمديد وقف إطلاق النار» الذي ينتهي فجر الخميس بتوقيت طهران. واعتبر أن الولايات المتحدة في «موقف تفاوضي قوي» مع إيران، مرجحاً «التوصل في النهاية إلى صفقة رائعة».
وشدد ترمب على أنه ليس لدى واشنطن الكثير من الوقت من أجل إبرام اتفاق، مؤكدا أن بلاده تتعامل بنجاح كبير مع إيران، وهي في موقف تفاوضي قوي.
وفي وقت سابق، شدد الرئيس الأمريكي على أن «إيران ستتفاوض وإلا ستواجه مشاكل لم يسبق لها مثيل». وقال خلال مقابلة عبر الهاتف مع البرنامج الإذاعي The John Fredericks Show: «آمل أن يتوصل الإيرانيون لاتفاق عادل وأن يعيدوا بناء بلادهم».
وأضاف: قمنا بعمل رائع في إيران، وسننهي الأمر، وسيكون الجميع سعداء، منوهاً بأن الحصار الأمريكي للموانئ الإيرانية يكبد طهران خسائر بالملايين يومياً.
أقرب للتوصل إلى اتفاق
وفيما قال رئيس هيئة الأركان الأمريكية المشتركة: نحن على استعداد لاستئناف العمليات ضد إيران في أي لحظة، اعتبرت المتحدثة باسم البيت الأبيض كارولين ليفيت، الثلاثاء، أن الولايات المتحدة أصبحت أقرب من أي وقت مضى للتوصل إلى اتفاق مع إيران رغم استمرار عدم اليقين بشأن عقد جولة جديدة من المحادثات.
وأضافت في مقابلة مع قناة «فوكس نيوز» أن الولايات المتحدة أقرب الليلة من أي وقت مضى إلى التوصل إلى اتفاق جيد حقاً.
وقالت إن الولايات المتحدة تقترب من اتفاق، لكنها أضافت أن الرئيس ترمب لديه عدة خيارات إذا لم يتم التوصل إلى اتفاق، ولن يتردد في استخدامها، مشيرة إلى أنه سبق وأثبت أنه ينفذ ما يقوله.
تأكيدات باكستانية بوصول فانس وقاليباف
ونقلت وكالة «أسوشيتد برس» عن مسؤولين، بأن باكستان والوسطاء تلقوا تأكيداً من نائب الرئيس الأمريكي جي دي فانس، ورئيس البرلمان الإيراني محمد باقر قاليباف، بالوصول إلى إسلام آباد صباح الأربعاء، من أجل المشاركة في المفاوضات.
ولم تؤكد الولايات المتحدة أو إيران علناً موعد المحادثات، كما نفت وسائل الإعلام الرسمية الإيرانية وجود أي مسؤول حالياً في باكستان.
وأعلن مصدر رسمي باكستاني أن الجولة الثانية من المفاوضات ستعقد في موعدها، مؤكداً وصول وفدي أمريكا وإيران إلى إسلام آباد في وقت متزامن.
الهوة واسعة بين واشنطن وطهران
سياسيا، تبدو الهوة واسعة بين واشنطن وطهران، إذ رفضت القيادة الإيرانية التفاوض تحت التهديد، واعتبر الرئيس الإيراني مسعود بزشكيان أن «الإشارات غير البناءة والمتضاربة الصادرة عن المسؤولين الأمريكيين تحمل رسالة مريرة، فهم يريدون استسلام إيران»، مشددا على أن «الإيرانيين لا يرضخون للقوة».
فيما حذر رئيس البرلمان وكبير المفاوضين محمد باقر قاليباف من أن ترمب يسعى لتحويل طاولة المفاوضات إلى طاولة استسلام، متهما إياه بزيادة الضغط على طهران من خلال الحصار وانتهاكات وقف إطلاق النار.
وقال عبر منصة «إكس»: إن طهران ستكشف «أوراقا جديدة» إذا استؤنفت الحرب، مضيفا: «نحن لا نقبل أن نفاوض تحت التهديد، وخلال الأسبوعين الماضيين كنا نستعد لكشف أوراق جديدة في ساحة المعركة».
إيران على أهبة الاستعداد للحرب
وأفادت وكالة تسنيم الإيرانية، بأن معلوماتها تشير إلى أنه مع اقتراب انتهاء الهدنة المتفق عليها، ونظراً لأن المطالب الأمريكية المفرطة وإعلان الحصار البحري قد حالا دون استئناف المفاوضات، فإن إيران على أهبة الاستعداد لاحتمال تجدد الحرب.
وأضافت أن إيران اعتبرت احتمال نشوب حرب جديدة وارداً بقوة خلال الأسبوعين الماضيين، وعليه فقد أعدّت بعض التحركات العسكرية، وقائمة بأهداف جديدة لهذا الغرض.
اعتراض ناقلة نفط
وكانت وزارة الحرب الأمريكية (البنتاجون) اعترضت ناقلة نفط خاضعة للعقوبات في منطقة المحيطين الهندي والهادئ، في إطار ما اعتبرته تعطيل السفن التي تقدم دعماً لإيران.
وقالت في منشور على منصة إكس إنه «خلال الليل، نفذت القوات الأمريكية اعتراضاً بحرياً، وصعدت على متن ناقلة النفط M/T Tifani الخاضعة للعقوبات، دون وقوع أي حوادث، وضمن نطاق مسؤولية القيادة الأميركية في منطقة المحيطين الهندي والهادئ».
وأضافت الوزارة أنه «كما أوضحنا سابقاً، سنواصل جهود إنفاذ القانون البحري على المستوى العالمي لتعطيل الشبكات غير المشروعة واعتراض السفن الخاضعة للعقوبات التي تقدم دعماً مادياً إلى إيران، أينما كانت تعمل».
Ahead of the anticipated second round of negotiations, U.S. President Donald Trump accused Iran today (Tuesday) of “violating the ceasefire multiple times,” according to a brief post on the “Truth Social” platform.
A Strong Negotiating Position
CNBC reported Trump as saying that the United States is “prepared to intervene militarily” against Iran, noting that he “does not want to extend the ceasefire,” which ends early Thursday Tehran time. He considered that the United States is in a “strong negotiating position” with Iran, predicting that “a great deal will eventually be reached.”
Trump emphasized that Washington does not have much time to finalize an agreement, asserting that his country is dealing very successfully with Iran and is in a strong negotiating position.
Earlier, the U.S. President stressed that “Iran will negotiate, or it will face unprecedented problems.” He said during a phone interview with The John Fredericks Show: “I hope the Iranians reach a fair agreement and rebuild their country.”
He added: We have done a great job in Iran, and we will finish it, and everyone will be happy, noting that the U.S. blockade of Iranian ports is costing Tehran millions daily.
Closer to Reaching an Agreement
While the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff stated: We are ready to resume operations against Iran at any moment, White House spokesperson Caroline Levitt considered on Tuesday that the United States is closer than ever to reaching an agreement with Iran despite ongoing uncertainty about holding a new round of talks.
She added in an interview with Fox News that the United States is closer tonight than ever to reaching a really good agreement.
She stated that the United States is nearing an agreement, but added that President Trump has several options if an agreement is not reached, and he will not hesitate to use them, pointing out that he has previously proven that he follows through on what he says.
Pakistani Confirmations of Vance and Qalibaf’s Arrival
The Associated Press reported that officials confirmed that Pakistan and the mediators received confirmation from U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf of their arrival in Islamabad on Wednesday morning to participate in the negotiations.
Neither the United States nor Iran has publicly confirmed the timing of the talks, and Iranian state media denied that any officials are currently in Pakistan.
A Pakistani official source announced that the second round of negotiations will take place as scheduled, confirming the simultaneous arrival of the U.S. and Iranian delegations in Islamabad.
The Wide Gap Between Washington and Tehran
Politically, the gap between Washington and Tehran appears wide, as the Iranian leadership has rejected negotiating under threat, with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stating that “the unconstructive and conflicting signals from U.S. officials carry a bitter message; they want Iran’s surrender,” emphasizing that “Iranians do not yield to force.”
Meanwhile, Parliament Speaker and chief negotiator Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf warned that Trump seeks to turn the negotiating table into a surrender table, accusing him of increasing pressure on Tehran through the blockade and violations of the ceasefire.
He stated via the X platform: Tehran will reveal “new cards” if the war resumes, adding: “We do not accept to negotiate under threat, and over the past two weeks, we have been preparing to reveal new cards on the battlefield.”
Iran on the Brink of War
Tasnim news agency reported that its information indicates that as the agreed-upon truce nears its end, and given the excessive U.S. demands and the announcement of a naval blockade that have prevented the resumption of negotiations, Iran is on high alert for the possibility of renewed war.
It added that Iran has considered the possibility of a new war as highly likely over the past two weeks, and therefore has prepared some military movements and a list of new targets for this purpose.
Seizure of an Oil Tanker
The U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) intercepted a sanctioned oil tanker in the Indian and Pacific Oceans, as part of what it considered to be the disruption of vessels providing support to Iran.
It stated in a post on the X platform that “overnight, U.S. forces conducted a maritime interception and boarded the sanctioned oil tanker M/T Tifani, with no incidents occurring, and within the scope of U.S. command responsibility in the Indian and Pacific Oceans.”
The department added that “as we have previously stated, we will continue our global maritime law enforcement efforts to disrupt illicit networks and intercept sanctioned vessels providing material support to Iran, wherever they operate.”
