وتتجسد هذه القيمة التاريخية في وجود 41 موقعاً أثرياً مسجلاً ضمن قائمة التراث السعودي، تزدان بلوحات هيئة التراث التي تؤكد حمايتها من أي عبث، ومن أبرزها «بيت شقير»، الذي أنهت الهيئة تأهيله كأول النماذج المطورة في المنطقة التاريخية. وفي هذا السياق، يؤكد المرشد السياحي ماجد الثمالي، أن السائح الأجنبي بات يبحث عن ملامسة العادات والتقاليد المحلية بعمق، وهو ما لمسه من خلال استضافته لمجموعات سياحية في منزله الخاص وتقديم الوجبات الشعبية لهم، مما كرس صورة مشرفة عن المجتمع الطائفي، فيما يضيف المرشد أحمد الجعيد، أن الطائف تبرز اليوم كوجهة دولية بمسارات متنوعة تجمع بين السياحة الريفية والمزارع والمواقع التاريخية، مستقطبة الزوار من مختلف الجنسيات الذين يأتون للاستمتاع بموسم الورد وجماليات التراث الأصيل.

This experience undertaken by “Cecilia” opened the door to renewed tourism horizons, coinciding with the rose-picking season, and revealed a striking similarity in the atmosphere and aesthetics between Taif as a destination with a moderate climate and major global attractions like Paris, enhancing Taif’s status as the capital of summer resorts.
This historical value is embodied in the presence of 41 archaeological sites registered in the Saudi heritage list, adorned with plaques from the Heritage Commission that affirm their protection from any tampering, among which is “Bayt Shaqir,” which the commission has completed rehabilitating as the first developed model in the historical region. In this context, tour guide Majid Al-Thamali confirms that foreign tourists are increasingly seeking to deeply engage with local customs and traditions, which he has experienced by hosting tourist groups in his private home and offering them traditional meals, thereby reinforcing a positive image of the Taif community. Tour guide Ahmed Al-Juaid adds that Taif is now emerging as an international destination with diverse pathways that combine rural tourism, farms, and historical sites, attracting visitors from various nationalities who come to enjoy the rose season and the beauty of authentic heritage.
