أحبطت الأجهزة الأمنية السورية، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، مخططاً إرهابياً واسعاً، وفككت الخلية التي كانت تستهدف زعزعة استقرار البلاد، وفقاً لما أعلنته وزارة الداخلية.
ونقلت وكالة الأنباء السورية (سانا)، عن مصدر في وزارة الداخلية، قوله: المخطط الإرهابي جرى إحباطه عبر تنفيذ عملية في محافظات عدة ضمن حملة أمنية متزامنة، موضحاً أن العملية أسفرت عن إلقاء القبض على جميع عناصر الخلية وضبط أسلحة بحوزتهم.
وقالت وزارة الداخلية في تدوينات على حسابها في «فيسبوك»: وضعت الوحدات المختصة يدها على ترسانة من العتاد العسكري المتكامل كانت بحوزة عناصر الخلية التابعة لمليشيا حزب الله، موضحة أن الأسلحة شملت عبوات ناسفة معدة للتفجير، وقواذف RPG مع حشواتها، إضافة إلى بنادق آلية وكميات من القنابل اليدوية والذخائر المتنوعة، إلى جانب تجهيزات رصد وإسناد فني شملت مناظير تخصصية وكاميرات.
وذكرت أن الخلية كانت في مراحل الجاهزية القصوى لبدء تنفيذ أجندتها التخريبية.
وأفادت الوزارة أن العملية تمت بالتعاون بين الوحدات المختصة في وزارة الداخلية، بالتعاون مع جهاز الاستخبارات العامة في محافظات دمشق، وحلب، وحمص، وطرطوس واللاذقية، موضحة أن العناصر الإرهابية تسللت إلى الأراضي السورية بعد تلقيهم تدريبات تخصصية مكثفة في لبنان.
وذكرت أن التحقيقات الأولية أظهرت أن الخلية كانت بصدد تنفيذ أجندة تخريبية تشمل اغتيالات ممنهجة تستهدف شخصيات حكومية رفيعة، متوعدة بالتصدي بحزم لكل ما من شأنه تهديد الاستقرار العام.
وأوضحت الوزارة أن العملية تأتي امتداداً لجهودها في ضرب أوكار الخلايا النائمة، وتجفيف منابع الإرهاب، والتصدي لأي تهديدات تمس أمن المواطنين وسلامة البلاد.
وكان مصدر أمني في وزارة الداخلية قد أعلن في 19 أبريل الماضي إحباط مخطط تخريبي تقف خلفه خلية مرتبطة بـ«حزب الله»، وذلك عبر عملية أمنية مشتركة بين الأمن الداخلي وجهاز الاستخبارات العامة، موضحاً أن الخلية كانت تعتزم إطلاق صواريخ خارج الحدود بهدف زعزعة الاستقرار، قبل أن تنجح الجهات المختصة في إفشال المخطط وضبط المتورطين.
The Syrian security forces thwarted a wide-ranging terrorist plot today (Tuesday) and dismantled the cell that aimed to destabilize the country, according to the Ministry of Interior.
The Syrian News Agency (SANA) reported a source in the Ministry of Interior stating that the terrorist plot was thwarted through operations carried out in several provinces as part of a simultaneous security campaign, explaining that the operation resulted in the arrest of all cell members and the seizure of weapons in their possession.
The Ministry of Interior stated in posts on its “Facebook” account: The specialized units seized a stockpile of complete military equipment that was in the possession of the cell members affiliated with Hezbollah militia, clarifying that the weapons included explosive devices prepared for detonation, RPG launchers with their rounds, in addition to automatic rifles and quantities of hand grenades and various ammunition, along with reconnaissance and technical support equipment including specialized scopes and cameras.
It mentioned that the cell was at the highest level of readiness to begin implementing its destructive agenda.
The ministry reported that the operation was carried out in cooperation between the specialized units in the Ministry of Interior and the General Intelligence Agency in the provinces of Damascus, Aleppo, Homs, Tartus, and Latakia, explaining that the terrorist elements infiltrated Syrian territory after receiving intensive specialized training in Lebanon.
It noted that preliminary investigations revealed that the cell was about to execute a destructive agenda that included systematic assassinations targeting high-ranking government figures, vowing to firmly confront any threats to public stability.
The ministry clarified that the operation is part of its ongoing efforts to strike at the nests of sleeper cells, dry up the sources of terrorism, and confront any threats to the safety of citizens and the integrity of the country.
A security source in the Ministry of Interior announced on April 19 that a destructive plot linked to a cell associated with “Hezbollah” had been thwarted through a joint security operation between internal security and the General Intelligence Agency, explaining that the cell intended to launch rockets across the borders to destabilize the situation before the relevant authorities succeeded in thwarting the plan and apprehending those involved.
