الضوابط، التي تضعها وتؤسسها الهيئة العامة لتنظيم الإعلام في السعودية؛ للحفاظ على أخلاقيات المهنة وصون المجتمع من المحتويات المخالفة، نجحت في الحدِّ من المخالفات، التي تطفح بها بعض المنصات الإعلامية الرقمية، التي يديرها بعض الهواة أو المحترفين، الذين تدفعهم الرغبة في الشهرة والصيت والانتشار إلى تجاوز المعايير المهنية والقيم المجتمعية والأخلاقية في النشر. تنطلق الهيئة في مهماتها لتنفيذ ضوابطها ومعاقبة مخالفيها من أجل حماية المجتمع والذوق والآداب العامة. وجاءت في الاتجاه ذاته الإجراءات، التي اتخذتها أخيراً ضد 49 شخصاً تورّطوا في مخالفات عدة عبر حساباتهم على منصات التواصل، وخصّصت الهيئة في هذا الشأن قنوات خاصة للإبلاغ عن أصحاب المحتويات المخالفة والنشر المضلل، وإحالتهم إلى الجهات المختصة، مع نشر الوعي حول التشريعات الإعلامية والقواعد القانونية المنظمة لوسائل الإعلام المختلفة؛ منعاً للاختراق والتجاوز. وأثمرت هذه القواعد عن ضبط الأداء، وملاحقة المتطفلين على المهنة والباحثين عن الانتشار بلا قدرات أو مواهب.
The regulations established by the General Authority for Media Regulation in Saudi Arabia, aimed at maintaining professional ethics and protecting society from inappropriate content, have succeeded in reducing violations that are prevalent on some digital media platforms managed by amateurs or professionals. These individuals are driven by a desire for fame, reputation, and widespread recognition, leading them to exceed professional standards and societal and ethical values in publishing. The Authority undertakes its mission to implement its regulations and penalize violators to protect society and public taste and morals. In the same vein, actions taken recently against 49 individuals involved in various violations through their accounts on social media platforms were announced. The Authority has allocated special channels for reporting those responsible for inappropriate content and misleading publications, referring them to the relevant authorities, while also raising awareness about media legislation and the legal rules governing different media outlets to prevent breaches and violations. These regulations have resulted in improved performance and the pursuit of intruders in the profession and those seeking publicity without skills or talents.
