أعلنت وزارة الدفاع الإماراتية اليوم (الأحد) أن دفاعاتها الجوية تعاملت مع 3 طائرات مسيّرة دخلت الدولة من جهة الحدود الغربية، موضحة أنه تم التعامل مع اثنتين فيما أصابت الثالثة مولداً كهربائياً خارج المحيط الداخلي لمحطة براكة للطاقة النووية في منطقة الظفرة.
وأوضحت الوزارة أن التحقيقات جارية لمعرفة مصدر الاعتداءات، وسيتم الكشف عن المستجدات بعد انتهاء التحقيقات، مبينة أنها على أهبة الاستعداد والجاهزية للتعامل مع أي تهديدات، والتصدي بحزم لكل ما يستهدف زعزعة أمن الدولة، بما يضمن صون سيادتها وأمنها واستقرارها، ويحمي مصالحها ومقدراتها الوطنية.
وكان مكتب أبوظبي الإعلامي قال في وقت سابق اليوم إن الجهات المختصة في الإمارة تعاملت مع حريق اندلع في مولد كهربائي خارج المحيط الداخلي لمحطة براكة للطاقة النووية في منطقة الظفرة، مبيناً أن الحريق ناجم عن استهداف بطائرة مسيرة دون تسجيل أي إصابات، ودون أي تأثير على مستويات السلامة الإشعاعية.
بدورها، ذكرت الهيئة الاتحادية للرقابة النووية أن الحريق لم يؤثر على سلامة المحطة أو جاهزية أنظمتها الأساسية، وأن جميع المحطات تعمل كالمعتاد، داعية إلى عدم تداول الشائعات واستقاء المعلومات من المصادر الرسمية فقط.
من جهتها، قالت الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية إن الإمارات أبلغتها بأن مستويات الإشعاع في محطة براكة لا تزال ضمن المعدل الطبيعي، ولم يتم الإبلاغ عن أي إصابات بعد هجوم بطائرة مسيرة تسبب في حريق، مضيفة: «نتابع الوضع عن كثب، وعلى اتصال مستمر مع السلطات الإماراتية، ومستعدون لتقديم المساعدة إذا لزم الأمر».
The UAE Ministry of Defense announced today (Sunday) that its air defenses engaged with 3 drones that entered the country from the western border, clarifying that two were dealt with while the third struck an electrical generator outside the internal perimeter of the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in the Al Dhafra region.
The ministry explained that investigations are underway to determine the source of the attacks, and updates will be revealed after the investigations conclude, indicating that it is on high alert and ready to respond to any threats, firmly countering anything that aims to undermine the security of the state, ensuring its sovereignty, security, and stability, and protecting its national interests and resources.
The Abu Dhabi Media Office stated earlier today that the relevant authorities in the emirate dealt with a fire that broke out in an electrical generator outside the internal perimeter of the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in the Al Dhafra region, noting that the fire was caused by a drone strike, with no injuries reported and no impact on radiation safety levels.
For its part, the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation mentioned that the fire did not affect the safety of the plant or the readiness of its essential systems, and that all plants are operating as usual, urging against spreading rumors and to obtain information only from official sources.
Meanwhile, the International Atomic Energy Agency stated that the UAE informed it that radiation levels at the Barakah Plant remain within the normal range, and no injuries have been reported following the drone attack that caused the fire, adding: “We are closely monitoring the situation and are in continuous contact with the UAE authorities, and we are ready to provide assistance if necessary.”
