فيما رفض الاتحاد الأوروبي، السماح لموسكو بخرق أجوائه من دون عقاب بعد اختراق مسيرة روسية لأجواء رومانيا والتي قال إنه تجاوز للخط الأحمر، حذر الأمين العام لحلف شمال الأطلسي مارك روته اليوم (الجمعة) من خطورة الاختراقات الروسية للأجواء الأوروبية.
ودان روته خرق مسيّرة روسية أجواء رومانيا مما أسفر عن إصابة شخصين، قائلاً:«إننا جميعا في خطر، ومستعدون للدفاع عن كل شبر من أراضينا».
وأشار إلى أن حلف الناتو سيواصل تعزيز قدراته على ردع تهديد المسيرات الروسية، فيما وصفت المتحدثة باسم الحلف أليسون هارت، سقوط المسيرة بـ«التهور الروسي».
واستدعت رومانيا السفير الروسي في بوخارست اليوم، وقالت وزيرة الخارجية أوانا تويو إنها ستبلغ السفير رسمياً بتداعيات هذا العمل غير المسؤول من جانب روسيا على العلاقات الدبلوماسية بين البلدين، فضلاً عن الخطوات التالية على المستوى الأوروبي في ما يتعلق بحزم العقوبات.
وكانت وزارة الدفاع في رومانيا أوضحت وقت سابق أن مسيّرة روسية ارتطمت بمبنى سكني داخل أراضيها، في مدينة غالاتي، قرب الحدود مع أوكرانيا، وتسببت في إصابتين واشتعال حريق بالمبنى.
ويعد سقوط مسيرة روسية في منطقة مكتظة بالسكان في رومانيا هي الأولى، ومن المرجح أن يؤدي ذلك إلى زيادة التوتر بالجناح الشرقي لحلف شمال الأطلسي في وقت يشعر فيه حلفاء أوكرانيا بالقلق من اتساع الحرب لما هو أبعد من حدودها.
While the European Union rejected allowing Moscow to violate its airspace without consequences after a Russian drone breached Romanian airspace, which it stated crossed a red line, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte warned today (Friday) about the dangers of Russian incursions into European airspace.
Rutte condemned the breach of Romanian airspace by a Russian drone, which resulted in two injuries, stating: “We are all in danger, and we are ready to defend every inch of our territory.”
He noted that NATO will continue to enhance its capabilities to deter the threat of Russian drones, while NATO spokesperson Allison Hart described the drone’s crash as “Russian recklessness.”
Romania summoned the Russian ambassador in Bucharest today, and Foreign Minister Oana Lungescu stated that she would officially inform the ambassador of the repercussions of this irresponsible act by Russia on diplomatic relations between the two countries, as well as the next steps at the European level regarding sanctions packages.
The Romanian Ministry of Defense previously clarified that a Russian drone collided with a residential building within its territory in the city of Galați, near the border with Ukraine, causing two injuries and a fire in the building.
The crash of a Russian drone in a densely populated area in Romania is the first of its kind, and it is likely to increase tensions on NATO’s eastern flank at a time when Ukraine’s allies are concerned about the war expanding beyond its borders.
