من المقرر أن يلتقي الرئيس إيمانويل ماكرون بالمنتخب الفرنسي لكرة القدم، غداً الثلاثاء في كليرفونتين، قبل توجهه للمشاركة في نهائيات كأس العالم 2026، إذ توقع «ماكرون»أن يعود منتخب بلاده من المونديال بالنجمة الثالثة في إشارة لتحقيق كأس العالم.
وكان الرئيس الفرنسي استقبل، في قصر الإليزيه، لاعبي فريق باريس سان جيرمان لكرة القدم، الذي فاز بدوري أبطال أوروبا على حساب أرسنال، السبت، للمرة الثانية على التوالي، وقال: «لقد حقق باريس سان جيرمان على خطى المنتخب الفرنسي نجمتين. والآن، أتوقع أن يضيف منتخبنا الوطني نجمة ثالثة إلى قميصه».
وتابع الرئيس الفرنسي قائلاً: «نحن فخورون جداً بفريق باريس سان جيرمان؛ برئيسه ومدربه، وبكامل جهازه الفني وبقائده وجميع لاعبيه. لقد حققوا ما كنا نعتقد، أنه مستحيل. حققوه بالقلب وبالشغف. حققوه وجعلوا باريس وكل البلاد تهتز فرحاً».
French President Emmanuel Macron is set to meet with the French national football team tomorrow, Tuesday, in Clairefontaine, before heading to participate in the 2026 World Cup, as Macron expects his country’s team to return from the tournament with a third star, referring to winning the World Cup.
The French president welcomed the players of Paris Saint-Germain football team at the Élysée Palace, who won the UEFA Champions League against Arsenal on Saturday, for the second consecutive time, and said: “Paris Saint-Germain has followed in the footsteps of the French national team by earning two stars. Now, I expect our national team to add a third star to its jersey.”
The French president continued, saying: “We are very proud of Paris Saint-Germain; of its president, its coach, its entire technical staff, its captain, and all its players. They achieved what we thought was impossible. They did it with heart and passion. They did it and made Paris and the whole country shake with joy.”
