تشهد الساحة اللبنانية منعطفاً عسكرياً ودبلوماسياً شديد الخطورة، يتأرجح بين دخان المعارك في الجنوب وأروقة التفاوض في واشنطن.
ففي الوقت الذي يستعد فيه الوفد اللبناني لخوض الجولة الرابعة من المفاوضات الدبلوماسية في وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية والتي ستنطلق غداً (الثلاثاء) وتستمر حتى اليوم التالي، جاء البيان المشترك لرئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو ووزير دفاعه يسرائيل كاتس صباح اليوم (الإثنين) بإصدار أوامر لضرب الضاحية الجنوبية لبيروت، مستنداً إلى ما يصفه بـ«الضوء الأخضر الأمريكي» ليفخخ الأجواء التفاوضية بالكامل ويعيد رسم خطوط المواجهة.

الدبلوماسية العربية تتحرك خلف الكواليس مدفوعة برؤية أوسع، تعتبر أن هذه الحرب برغم كلفتها ستكون «آخر الحروب» التي ستفضي في النهاية إلى تعزيز الدولة المركزية وحصر السلاح بيد الجيش اللبناني، في مشهد يعيد التذكير بمرحلة ما قبل اتفاق الطائف. وبين حدّي الضوء الأخضر لضرب الضاحية وجولة واشنطن الرابعة، يدخل لبنان غداً اختباراً مصيرياً، حيث تسعى الدولة اللبنانية لتفكيك الألغام الإسرائيلية بالسياسة، بينما يشتعل الميدان بانتظار ما ستؤول إليه التحولات الإقليمية الكبرى.
