خصصت أستراليا 5 ملايين دولار أسترالي لدعم الجهود الدولية الرامية إلى مكافحة تفشي فايروس إيبولا في جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية وأوغندا، والإسهام في الحد من انتشار المرض.
وأوضحت وزيرة الخارجية الأسترالية بيني وونغ، في بيان مشترك مع وزيرة التنمية الدولية آن علي، أن هذا التمويل يجسد التزام أستراليا بدعم الأمن الصحي العالمي.
وأكد البيان أن أستراليا تتحرك لدعم فرق الاستجابة والمجتمعات المحلية الموجودة في الخطوط الأمامية، وللمساعدة في منع المزيد من انتشار فايروس إيبولا.
Australia has allocated 5 million Australian dollars to support international efforts to combat the outbreak of the Ebola virus in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda, and to contribute to reducing the spread of the disease.
Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong stated in a joint statement with Minister for International Development Anne Aly that this funding reflects Australia’s commitment to supporting global health security.
The statement confirmed that Australia is taking action to support response teams and local communities on the front lines, and to help prevent further spread of the Ebola virus.
