أجرى وزير الخارجية المصري بدر عبدالعاطي اتصالين هاتفيين مع كلٍّ من رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الخارجية القطري الشيخ محمد بن عبدالرحمن آل ثاني، ووزير خارجية المملكة العربية السعودية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان.
وبحسب بيان صادر عن وزارة الخارجية المصرية، تناول الاتصالان التطورات المتسارعة في المنطقة، وفي مقدمتها الأزمة الإيرانية وتداعياتها على الأمن والاستقرار الإقليمي، إلى جانب آخر المستجدات في السودان.
وصرح السفير تميم خلاف، المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية، بأن الوزير المصري بحث مع نظيريه السعودي والقطري مستجدات المفاوضات الأمريكية-الإيرانية، والجهود الدبلوماسية المبذولة للوصول إلى تسوية توافقية تراعي شواغل جميع الأطراف، خصوصاً دول الخليج، وتعزّز من الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.
كما استعرض الوزراء الثلاثة تطورات الأزمة السودانية، إذ أكد الدكتور بدر عبدالعاطي الموقف المصري الثابت الداعم لوحدة السودان وسيادته وسلامة أراضيه، وضرورة الحفاظ على مؤسسات الدولة الوطنية ركيزةً أساسيةً لاستعادة الأمن والاستقرار، مع رفض أي كيانات موازية.
وشدّد الوزير المصري على أهمية التوصل إلى هدنة إنسانية تمهّد لوقف مستدام لإطلاق النار، وضمان نفاذ المساعدات الإنسانية دون عوائق، ودعم مسار سياسي شامل يحظى بملكية وإدارة سودانية خالصة، يفضي إلى تحقيق تطلعات الشعب السوداني الشقيق.
وتستمر الأزمة الإنسانية والأمنية في السودان منذ اندلاع الصراع بين الجيش وقوات الدعم السريع في أبريل 2023، مما أدى إلى نزوح ملايين السكان وتدهور الأوضاع الإنسانية بشكل كبير.
وتحرص مصر، بصفتها دولة جوار مباشر، على دعم الحلول السلمية التي تحافظ على وحدة السودان ومؤسساته، وتعمل بشكل وثيق مع الدول العربية الشقيقة والآلية الرباعية مصر والسعودية والإمارات وأمريكا لدفع العملية السياسية.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister, Badr Abdel Aati, made two phone calls with both the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan.
According to a statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the calls addressed the rapidly evolving developments in the region, primarily the Iranian crisis and its repercussions on regional security and stability, along with the latest updates in Sudan.
Ambassador Tamim Khalaf, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that the Egyptian minister discussed with his Saudi and Qatari counterparts the latest developments in the U.S.-Iran negotiations and the diplomatic efforts being made to reach a consensual settlement that takes into account the concerns of all parties, especially the Gulf states, and enhances security and stability in the region.
The three ministers also reviewed the developments of the Sudanese crisis, where Dr. Badr Abdel Aati reaffirmed Egypt’s steadfast position supporting Sudan’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and the necessity of preserving national state institutions as a fundamental pillar for restoring security and stability, while rejecting any parallel entities.
The Egyptian minister emphasized the importance of reaching a humanitarian truce that paves the way for a sustainable ceasefire, ensures the unhindered flow of humanitarian aid, and supports a comprehensive political process that is wholly owned and managed by Sudanese parties, leading to the realization of the aspirations of the brotherly Sudanese people.
The humanitarian and security crisis in Sudan has persisted since the outbreak of conflict between the army and the Rapid Support Forces in April 2023, resulting in the displacement of millions of people and a significant deterioration of humanitarian conditions.
Egypt, as a neighboring country, is keen to support peaceful solutions that preserve Sudan’s unity and its institutions, and works closely with the brotherly Arab countries and the Quadruple Mechanism of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and the USA to advance the political process.
