اتهمت وزارة الداخلية اليمنية جماعة الحوثي بالتورط في عملية اغتيال مسؤول وكالة حكومية في عدن مطلع مايو الماضي.
وجاءت هذه الاتهامات خلال مباحثات عبر تقنية الاتصال المرئي، اليوم (الجمعة)، بين وزير الداخلية اليمني إبراهيم حيدان، وسفير الاتحاد الأوروبي لدى اليمن باتريك سيمونيه، بحسب بيان لوزارة الداخلية اليمنية.
وأكد المسؤول اليمني أن الأجهزة الأمنية ضبطت عدداً من المشتبه بهم بعملية اغتيال المدير التنفيذي للصندوق الاجتماعي للتنمية وسام قائد.
وأوضح أن التحقيقات والأدلة تؤكد تورط جماعة الحوثي في الجريمة، في الوقت الذي تواصل فيه الجماعة احتجاز عدد من موظفي الأمم المتحدة والمنظمات الدولية في سجونها.
وأبلغ الوزير اليمني السفير الأوروبي بأنَّ الأجهزة الأمنية تواصل استكمال إجراءات التحقيق وجمع الأدلة وملاحقة المتورطين، مؤكداً أنَّ الجريمة لا يمكن فصلها عن المناخ الأمني المُعقَّد الذي تعيشه البلاد منذ سنوات.
يذكر أن مسلحين اختطفوا يوم 3 مايو الماضي مدير الصندوق الاجتماعي للتنمية وسام قائد من عدن قبل أن تتم تصفيته في جريمة لاقت تنديداً دولياً وأممياً واسعاً.
ومثلت حادثة اغتيال «قائد» الذي كان يدير أكبر محفظة تمويلية للمانحين باليمن، واحدة من عشرات الحوادث التي استهدفت عاملي الإغاثة والتنمية في الوكالات المحلية والدولية النشطة في هذا البلد ووقف خلفها الحوثيون وتنظيمات إرهابية وأطراف عدة.
The Yemeni Ministry of Interior accused the Houthi group of being involved in the assassination of a government agency official in Aden at the beginning of last May.
This accusation came during a video conference today (Friday) between Yemeni Interior Minister Ibrahim Haidan and the European Union Ambassador to Yemen, Patrick Simonnet, according to a statement from the Yemeni Ministry of Interior.
The Yemeni official confirmed that security forces arrested several suspects in the assassination of the Executive Director of the Social Fund for Development, Wissam Qaid.
He explained that investigations and evidence confirm the involvement of the Houthi group in the crime, while the group continues to detain several United Nations and international organization employees in its prisons.
The Yemeni minister informed the European ambassador that security forces are continuing to complete the investigation procedures, gather evidence, and pursue those involved, emphasizing that the crime cannot be separated from the complex security climate that the country has been experiencing for years.
It is worth noting that armed men kidnapped the Executive Director of the Social Fund for Development, Wissam Qaid, on May 3rd before he was executed in a crime that received widespread international and UN condemnation.
The assassination of “Qaid,” who managed the largest funding portfolio for donors in Yemen, represented one of dozens of incidents targeting relief and development workers in local and international agencies active in this country, with the Houthis, terrorist organizations, and various parties behind them.
