علّقت بورصة كوريا الجنوبية التداول مؤقتًا بعدما تراجعت الأسهم بنحو 9% خلال تعاملاتها اليوم (الإثنين)، في ظل موجة بيعية يشهدها قطاع التكنولوجيا عالميًا عقب تجدد مخاوف التشديد النقدي في الولايات المتحدة.
وتقلصت خسائر مؤشر «كوسبي» عقب وقف التداول لمدة 20 دقيقة لأول مرة منذ ثلاثة أشهر، وكانت هذه المرة الثالثة التي يتم فيها تفعيل هذه الإجراءات هذا العام، والتاسعة في التاريخ، وفقا لوكالات إعلامية غربية.
بينما تعافى الوون الكوري من أدنى مستوى له أمام الدولار منذ مارس 2009، وارتفع أمام العملة الأمريكية بنسبة 1.35% ليتداول عند 1,538.44 وون، بعد تدخل السلطات وعقد اجتماع طارئ مع التعهد باتخاذ إجراءات حازمة ضد المضاربة، وسط توقعات بقيام البنك المركزي ببيع الدولار لدعم العملة المحلية.
The South Korean stock exchange temporarily suspended trading after stocks fell by about 9% during its session today (Monday), amid a global sell-off in the technology sector following renewed concerns over monetary tightening in the United States.
The losses of the “KOSPI” index were reduced after a 20-minute trading halt, the first in three months, marking the third time this year that such measures have been implemented, and the ninth time in history, according to Western media outlets.
Meanwhile, the Korean won recovered from its lowest level against the dollar since March 2009, rising against the U.S. currency by 1.35% to trade at 1,538.44 won, following intervention by authorities and an emergency meeting with a commitment to take firm action against speculation, amid expectations that the central bank will sell dollars to support the local currency.
