إذ تعرض الحمدان لإصابة على مستوى مفصل الكاحل فجر اليوم خلال الودية أمام السنغال في الولايات المتحدة، والتي انتهت بالتعادل السلبي 0-0 وشهدت طرد مهاجم السنغال نيكولاس جاكسون بسبب التدخل العنيف على نجم الأخضر.
من جانبه أوضح أخصائي العلاج الطبيعي وإصابات الملاعب ثامر الشهراني، عبر حسابه الرسمي في موقع التواصل الاجتماعي «X» أن الإصابة عبارة عن التواء على الداخل لمفصل الكاحل، بعد التدخل القوي من لاعب السنغال، وهو ما قد يؤثر على أربطة المفصل.
وينتظر الجهاز الفني للأخضر بقيادة دونيس التقرير الطبي النهائي لحسم موقف الحمدان قبل انطلاقة المونديال، وسط آمال بأن تكون الإصابة مجرد عارض بسيط لا يعيق مسيرته في النهائيات العالمية.
وأضاف الشهراني: «بعض إصابات التواء الكاحل تتضح أعراضها بعد المباراة. أتمنى أن تكون بسيطة ويشارك في المباراة القادمة»، مشيراً إلى أن اللاعب قد يتمكن من المشاركة حتى لو كانت الإصابة غير قوية، عبر المسكنات وتثبيت المفصل.
وكشف عن سيناريوهين لفترة الغياب:
أفضل الأحوال: التواء بسيط يحتاج 5-10 أيام فقط.
أسوأ الاحتمالات: تمزق من الدرجة الأولى أو أعلى، وقد تصل فترة الغياب لأكثر من 3-4 أسابيع حسب شدتها.

For his part, physiotherapist and sports injury specialist Thamer Al-Shahrani clarified via his official account on the social media platform “X” that the injury is an inward sprain of the ankle joint, following the strong intervention from the Senegalese player, which may affect the ligaments of the joint.
The coaching staff of the Green team, led by Donis, is waiting for the final medical report to determine Al-Hamdan’s status before the start of the World Cup, with hopes that the injury is just a minor issue that does not hinder his participation in the global finals.
Al-Shahrani added: “Some ankle sprain injuries show their symptoms after the match. I hope it is minor and that he participates in the next match,” noting that the player may be able to participate even if the injury is not severe, through painkillers and joint stabilization.
He revealed two scenarios for the duration of absence:
Best case: a minor sprain that requires only 5-10 days.
Worst case: a grade one tear or higher, which could lead to an absence of more than 3-4 weeks depending on its severity.
