طوق النجاة الأخير
القصة بدأت فصولها أواخر مايو الماضي في مقاطعة «هاينان» جنوب الصين، عندما انزلقت قدم السائح «تشين جيان بينغ» (39 عاماً) فوق قشرة فاكهة عند حافة منحدر ساحلي لاهب، ليهوي ليلاً في ظلمات المياه الجارفة. ومع خسارته هاتفه المحمول وغياب سترة النجاة، تلاعبت به التيارات البحرية العاتية ورمت به بعيداً عن الشاطئ.

سبعة أيام تحت شمس حارقة كلّفته خسارة أكثر من 10 كيلوغرامات من وزنه، وتشوهات جلدية بالغة، فضلاً عن دخوله في نوبات هلوسة بصرية وسمعية حادة جراء التجفاف الحاد والإعياء الشديد.
الإنقاذ والأنفاس الأخيرة
مرحلة النهاية كُتبت فجر الثاني من يونيو الجاري، حين عثر صيادان محليان على السائح العائم على بعد 10 كيلومترات من اليابسة. وبحسب إفادتهما، كان الرجل جثة تتحرك، بالكاد يلفظ أنفاسه أو يبدي حراكاً، فانتشلاه فوراً صوب الشاطئ لإسعافه.
وتؤكد التقارير الطبية المنقولة عن المستشفى استقرار حالته الصحية حالياً، رغم تشخيص إصابته بحروق شمس من الدرجات المتقدمة، واضطرابات أيضية مريرة، ومضاعفات ناتجة عن سوء التغذية الحاد.

He fought against death by swallowing raw crabs and clinging to a buoy until help arrived.
The Last Lifeline
The story began in late May in Hainan Province, southern China, when the tourist “Qin Jianping” (39 years old) slipped on a fruit peel at the edge of a scorching coastal cliff, plunging into the dark waters below at night. With the loss of his mobile phone and the absence of a life jacket, he was tossed about by the fierce currents and thrown far from the shore.
On the second day of the ordeal, a buoy appeared to him amidst the waves, so he gathered his strength and clung to it, while passing ships failed to spot him, and all his individual attempts to swim to land were thwarted as his physical reserves dwindled.
Fighting Against Death
Faced with the specter of dying from hunger and thirst, “Jianping” endured the first few days without food, before resorting to catching small crabs with his bare hands and eating them alive; he estimated that he consumed about 60 to 80 crabs during his time in the saltwater, supported by scant and intermittent sips of seawater and other liquids to moisten his parched throat.
The Harsh Toll
Seven days under a scorching sun cost him over 10 kilograms of his weight, severe skin deformities, as well as episodes of acute visual and auditory hallucinations due to severe dehydration and extreme fatigue.
The Rescue and Last Breath
The final chapter was written in the early hours of June 2, when two local fishermen found the floating tourist 10 kilometers from the shore. According to their account, the man was a moving corpse, barely able to breathe or show any signs of life, so they immediately pulled him toward the shore for assistance.
Medical reports from the hospital confirm that his health condition is currently stable, despite being diagnosed with advanced sunburn, severe metabolic disorders, and complications resulting from acute malnutrition.
