أعلنت هيئة عمليات التجارة البحرية البريطانية أنها تلقت بلاغاً عن حادثة وقعت على بعد 6 أميال بحرية شرق سلطنة عمان، حيث أصيبت ناقلة نفط بمقذوف مجهول.
وقالت الهيئة في تحذير، اليوم (السبت)، إن الناقلة تعرضت لإصابة في البوابة اليسرى نتيجة المقذوف، مؤكدة أن الطاقم بخير تماماً، ولم تسجل أي آثار بيئية ناتجة عن الحادثة، مشيرة إلى أن الناقلة تواصل إبحارها باتجاه ميناء الوجهة التالي.
وتحقق السلطات المختصة في الحادثة، فيما دعت الهيئة السفن العابرة في المنطقة إلى الإبحار بحذر والإبلاغ عن أي نشاط مشبوه فوراً.
تأتي الحادثة ضمن سلسلة متزايدة من الحوادث البحرية في منطقة خليج عمان وقرب مضيق هرمز، الذي يمر من خلاله نحو 20% من إمدادات النفط العالمية، حيث تزايدت مثل هذه الهجمات والحوادث بشكل ملحوظ منذ بداية عام 2026، وسط التوترات الجيوسياسية الشديدة بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران ودول المنطقة.
وسبق أن سجلت هيئة عمليات التجارة البحرية البريطانية حوادث مشابهة شملت انفجارات خارجية، إصابات بمقذوفات، وحرائق في غرف المحركات لناقلات نفط وشحن تجاري، وغالباً ما تُنسب بعض هذه الحوادث إلى هجمات بطائرات مسيّرة أو قوارب سريعة أو مقذوفات مجهولة المصدر.
وتُعد منطقة شرق عمان ممراً حيوياً للتجارة الدولية، وتشهد وجوداً أمنياً مكثفاً من قبل قوات بحرية دولية، وتدعو هيئة عمليات التجارة البحرية البريطانية بانتظام السفن إلى رفع درجة الحذر وتفعيل إجراءات الحماية الموصى بها أثناء عبور المنطقة.
The British Maritime Trade Operations announced that it received a report about an incident that occurred 6 nautical miles east of the Sultanate of Oman, where an oil tanker was struck by an unknown projectile.
The authority stated in a warning today (Saturday) that the tanker sustained damage to its port side due to the projectile, confirming that the crew is completely fine, and no environmental impacts have been recorded as a result of the incident, noting that the tanker continues to sail towards its next destination port.
The relevant authorities are investigating the incident, while the authority urged vessels transiting the area to navigate with caution and report any suspicious activity immediately.
This incident comes amid a growing series of maritime incidents in the Gulf of Oman and near the Strait of Hormuz, through which about 20% of global oil supplies pass, with such attacks and incidents having noticeably increased since the beginning of 2026, amidst severe geopolitical tensions between the United States, Iran, and regional countries.
The British Maritime Trade Operations has previously recorded similar incidents involving external explosions, injuries from projectiles, and fires in engine rooms of oil and commercial cargo tankers, with some of these incidents often attributed to drone attacks, fast boats, or projectiles of unknown origin.
The area east of Oman is a vital corridor for international trade, witnessing a heavy security presence from international naval forces, and the British Maritime Trade Operations regularly calls on vessels to raise their level of caution and implement recommended protective measures while transiting the area.
