انطلقت من مرفأ بيروت أول شحنة من الصادرات اللبنانية المتجهة إلى الأسواق السعودية عبر ميناء جدة الإسلامي، إيذاناً بعودة حركة التصدير بين البلدين، تنفيذاً لتوجيهات ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان باستئناف الصادرات اللبنانية إلى المملكة.
وأكد سفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى لبنان فهد الدوسري، أن القرار جاء استجابة لطلب القيادة اللبنانية، وبناءً على الخطوات الإيجابية التي اتخذتها الحكومة اللبنانية لإعادة بناء مؤسسات الدولة، إلى جانب ما تحقق من تعاون والتزام بالإجراءات التي تكفل أمن وسلامة البلدين.
وأوضح أن مغادرة أولى الشحنات اللبنانية إلى المملكة تمثّل محطة جديدة في مسار العلاقات الأخوية بين البلدين، التي تمتد لعقود طويلة وشهدت نمواً مستمراً في مختلف المجالات.
وأشار الدوسري إلى أن استئناف الصادرات اللبنانية يجسد حرص المملكة على الوقوف إلى جانب لبنان، مؤكداً أن القرار يعكس دعمها لاستقراره وسيادته على كامل أراضيه ورفاه شعبه، وثقتها في الإجراءات التي يتخذها الجانب اللبناني لضمان عدم استخدام أراضيه للإضرار بأشقائه.
من جانبه، وصف رئيس الوزراء اللبناني نواف سلام انطلاق أولى الحاويات المتجهة إلى المملكة بأنه لحظة انتظرها لبنان طويلاً، مؤكداً أن السوق السعودية كانت تمثّل الوجهة الأكبر للصادرات اللبنانية قبل تعليقها.
وقال إن عودة الصادرات إلى المملكة لا تقتصر على دعم قطاع واحد، بل تسهم في تنشيط سلسلة اقتصادية متكاملة تشمل المزارعين والمصانع والمصدرين، فضلاً عن توفير فرص العمل وتعزيز تدفق العملات الأجنبية، في وقت يحتاج فيه الاقتصاد اللبناني إلى مزيد من المحفزات لدعم قطاعاته الإنتاجية.
وأعرب سلام عن تطلع بلاده إلى خطوات إضافية تعزز التعاون بين البلدين، مثمناً دعم المملكة للبنان ومؤسساته، ومشيداً بقرار استئناف الصادرات إلى الأسواق السعودية.
The first shipment of Lebanese exports headed to the Saudi markets has departed from the Port of Beirut via the Islamic Port of Jeddah, marking the return of export activity between the two countries, in implementation of the directives of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman to resume Lebanese exports to the Kingdom.
The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Lebanon, Fahd Al-Dosari, confirmed that the decision came in response to a request from the Lebanese leadership, based on the positive steps taken by the Lebanese government to rebuild state institutions, along with the cooperation and commitment to measures that ensure the security and safety of both countries.
He explained that the departure of the first Lebanese shipments to the Kingdom represents a new milestone in the path of brotherly relations between the two countries, which have spanned decades and witnessed continuous growth in various fields.
Al-Dosari pointed out that the resumption of Lebanese exports embodies the Kingdom’s commitment to stand by Lebanon, affirming that the decision reflects its support for Lebanon’s stability, sovereignty over its entire territory, and the welfare of its people, as well as its confidence in the measures taken by the Lebanese side to ensure that its territory is not used to harm its brothers.
For his part, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam described the launch of the first containers heading to the Kingdom as a moment that Lebanon has long awaited, emphasizing that the Saudi market represented the largest destination for Lebanese exports before their suspension.
He stated that the return of exports to the Kingdom is not limited to supporting one sector, but contributes to revitalizing a comprehensive economic chain that includes farmers, factories, and exporters, in addition to providing job opportunities and enhancing the flow of foreign currencies, at a time when the Lebanese economy needs more incentives to support its productive sectors.
Salam expressed his country’s aspiration for additional steps to enhance cooperation between the two countries, appreciating the Kingdom’s support for Lebanon and its institutions, and praising the decision to resume exports to the Saudi markets.
