يُعقد في العاصمة المصرية القاهرة غداً (الأحد) اجتماع وزراء خارجية السعودية ومصر وباكستان وتركيا لمناقشة القضايا الإقليمية وعلى رأسها الصراع بين الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل وإيران.
وأفادت مصادر إعلامية عربية بأن وزير الخارجية التركي هاكان فيدان وصل اليوم إلى القاهرة للمشاركة في الاجتماع الرابع لوزراء خارجية تركيا ومصر وباكستان والسعودية، وذلك تتويجاً لسلسلة من المشاورات المكثفة التي يجريها فيدان مع نظرائه لمعالجة القضايا الإقليمية.
وشهدت الأشهر الماضية 3 اجتماعات رباعية متتالية؛ بدأت بلقاء في الرياض منتصف مارس الماضي، تبعه اجتماع ثانٍ في إسلام آباد أواخر الشهر ذاته، ثم اجتماع ثالث في أنطاليا منتصف أبريل الماضي على هامش منتدى أنطاليا الخامس للدبلوماسية.
وناقشت الاجتماعات السابقة تقييم التطورات المتعلقة بالقضايا الإقليمية وعلى رأسها الصراع بين الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل وإيران والعمليات التفاوضية الجارية، إضافة إلى بحث خطة السلام في غزة وسبل التوصل إلى حلول إقليمية شاملة، بما يسهم في الحد من التوترات وتعزيز الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.
وذكرت وكالة الأنباء التركية (الأناضول) أن فيدان أكد خلال محادثاته على ترحيب تركيا الكبير بتوقيع مذكرة التفاهم التي أنهت الحرب بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران، مشيداً بجهود الأطراف الموقعة، والتأكيد على أهمية الدور الذي لعبته وساطة باكستان والدول الأخرى المشاركة في العملية التي أفضت إلى توقيع الوثيقة.
وذكرت أن فيدان سيشدد على أن تركيا ستواصل جهودها لضمان توصل الأطراف إلى اتفاق سلام دائم بعد انتهاء فترة التفاوض الممتدة لـ60 يوماً، مع التأكيد على ضرورة توخي الحذر من أي عوامل قد تهدد التفاهم بين الأطراف.
ومن المتوقع أيضاً أن يؤكد فيدان على أهمية التنسيق والتعاون بين الدول المشاركة في الآلية الرباعية، ويشير إلى أنها أثبتت مجدداً أهميتها في التطورات الأخيرة، وأنها أُنشئت لتعزيز علاقات دول المنطقة ومعالجة الأزمات عبر حلول إقليمية مشتركة.
A meeting of the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, and Turkey will be held tomorrow (Sunday) in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, to discuss regional issues, primarily the conflict between the United States, Israel, and Iran.
Arab media sources reported that Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan arrived today in Cairo to participate in the fourth meeting of the foreign ministers of Turkey, Egypt, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia, culminating a series of intensive consultations that Fidan has been conducting with his counterparts to address regional issues.
In the past months, there have been three consecutive quadrilateral meetings; starting with a meeting in Riyadh in mid-March, followed by a second meeting in Islamabad at the end of the same month, and then a third meeting in Antalya in mid-April on the sidelines of the fifth Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
The previous meetings discussed the assessment of developments related to regional issues, primarily the conflict between the United States, Israel, and Iran, and the ongoing negotiations, in addition to discussing the peace plan in Gaza and ways to reach comprehensive regional solutions that contribute to reducing tensions and enhancing security and stability in the region.
The Turkish news agency (Anadolu) reported that Fidan emphasized during his talks Turkey’s strong welcome for the signing of the memorandum of understanding that ended the war between the United States and Iran, praising the efforts of the signing parties and highlighting the importance of the role played by the mediation of Pakistan and other countries involved in the process that led to the signing of the document.
It was mentioned that Fidan will stress that Turkey will continue its efforts to ensure that the parties reach a lasting peace agreement after the 60-day negotiation period, while emphasizing the need to be cautious of any factors that may threaten the understanding between the parties.
Fidan is also expected to emphasize the importance of coordination and cooperation among the countries participating in the quadrilateral mechanism, pointing out that it has once again proven its importance in recent developments, and that it was established to enhance the relationships of the countries in the region and address crises through joint regional solutions.
