هدد الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، اليوم (السبت)، بفرض رسوم على المرور في مضيق هرمز إذا فشلت محادثات السلام.
وكتب ترمب على منصته «تروث سوشال»: «لن يكون هناك أي رسوم عبور في مضيق هرمز لمدة 60 يوماً خلال فترة وقف إطلاق النار، ولن تكون هناك أي رسوم بعد انتهاء فترة الـ60 يوماً، إلا إذا فُرضت من قبل الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية ولصالحها، في حال عدم إتمام الاتفاق»، موضحاً أن الرسوم ستفرض مقابل الخدمات المقدمة بوصفها الملاك الحارس لدول الشرق الأوسط، لتعويض التكاليف السابقة والحالية والمستقبلية.
من جهة أخرى، أوضح مكتب رئيس وزراء باكستان أن محادثات فنية ستعقد غداً (الأحد) في سويسرا في إطار متابعة تنفيذ مذكرة تفاهم إسلام آباد، موضحاً أن رئيس الوزراء شهباز شريف وقائد الجيش عاصم منير سيشاركان في المحادثات بين واشنطن وطهران في سويسرا غداً.
وأشار البيان إلى أن رئيس الوزراء غادر إسلام آباد متوجهاً إلى سويسرا، برفقة وفد رفيع المستوى.
وقال مصدر مطلع إنه من المتوقع أن يتوجه نائب الرئيس الأمريكي، جي دي فانس، إلى سويسرا، اليوم، للمشاركة في مفاوضات الأحد، فيما يُنتظر أيضاً حضور رئيس البرلمان الإيراني محمد باقر قاليباف ووزير الخارجية عباس عراقجي، وفق موقع «أكسيوس».
ونقل الموقع عن مسؤولين أمريكيين قولهم إن مبعوثَي البيت الأبيض ستيف ويتكوف وجاريد كوشنر وصلا إلى سويسرا، حيث يُتوقع أن تُعقد الجولة الأولى من المحادثات مع إيران بشأن اتفاق نووي محتمل (الأحد).
U.S. President Donald Trump threatened today (Saturday) to impose tolls on passage through the Strait of Hormuz if peace talks fail.
Trump wrote on his platform “Truth Social”: “There will be no tolls for passage through the Strait of Hormuz for 60 days during the ceasefire period, and there will be no tolls after the 60-day period ends, unless imposed by the United States of America and for its benefit, in the event that the agreement is not completed,” explaining that the tolls will be imposed in exchange for the services provided as the guardian owner of Middle Eastern countries, to compensate for past, current, and future costs.
On the other hand, the office of the Prime Minister of Pakistan clarified that technical talks will be held tomorrow (Sunday) in Switzerland as part of the follow-up to the implementation of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, noting that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Army Chief Asim Munir will participate in the talks between Washington and Tehran in Switzerland tomorrow.
The statement indicated that the Prime Minister left Islamabad heading to Switzerland, accompanied by a high-level delegation.
A knowledgeable source stated that U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance is expected to head to Switzerland today to participate in Sunday’s negotiations, while the attendance of Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is also anticipated, according to Axios.
The site reported that U.S. officials said that White House envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner have arrived in Switzerland, where the first round of talks with Iran regarding a potential nuclear agreement is expected to take place (on Sunday).
