– ماذا يحدث في سلة الاتحاد؟ وهل صحيح أن عدداً من نجوم الفريق غادروا «سلة الأحلام»؟ وهل صحيح أن النجمين محمد المرواني وياسر الجهني رحلا وتم انتقالهما رسمياً إلى نادي العلا؟ وأن النجم أسامة برقاوي في طريقه إلى نادي النصر؟!
– إن ما يحدث في سلة الاتحاد هو عبث بتاريخ وإرث هذا الفريق العتيق الذي سجل حضوراً مشرفاً داخلياً وخارجياً؛ وهو المتوج بكأس آسيا عام 2001، والمتوج ببطولة الأندية العربية، وبعدد كبير من الألقاب المحلية.
– هل تعرف إدارة نادي الاتحاد قيمة هذا التاريخ الكبير الذي ارتبط كثيراً بجماهير العميد؟ تلك الجماهير التي غنت بأجمل الأهازيج تراقصاً مع هذه الإنجازات، والتي كانت بدعم كبير من الإدارات السابقة، ومنها إدارة منصور البلوي التي قدمت كل شيء حتى يتربع هذا الفريق على عرش هذه البطولات.
– تساؤل مشروع: هل السبب هو أن إدارة الاتحاد فكرت بمنظور تجاري ومالي بحت، وبالمردود المادي من تجديد التعاقد مع النجوم؟ ومنذ متى تُحسب الأمور في الألعاب المختلفة، وتحديداً كرة السلة، بهذه الطريقة؟! هذه الألعاب هي ملك للجماهير، وهي الخط الأول للمنتخبات الوطنية. والسؤال هنا: هل كرة القدم تغطي مداخيلُها مصروفاتِها الضخمة؟
– يا إدارة الاتحاد، هذه الألعاب لها شعبيتها ولها عشاقها، فلماذا تفرطون في هذه المتعة؟! يا إدارة الاتحاد، كم طلب النجم محمد المرواني من أجل تجديد عقده ولماذا لم يتم التجديد له؟ وما هو المبلغ الذي طلبه ياسر الجهني من أجل التجديد لكي يُرفض طلبُه ولا يُجدد له؟!
– أنتم بذلك تبعدون «سلة الأحلام» عن منصات التتويج وتدفعونها نحو الانزواء عن المشهد، تماماً كما حدث لسلة نادي أحد، وسلة الأنصار، وسلة الهلال. إنه لشيء عجيب وغريب ما يحدث من إدارات لا تبالي بقيمة هذه الألعاب! أندية كانت هي أضلاع كرة السلة السعودية، والآن أصبحت على وشك أن تندثر وتصبح في عالم النسيان بسبب إدارات الفكر التجاري.
– على ماذا يحصل لاعبو كرة السلة من امتيازات مادية مقابل تجديد عقودهم؟ إنهم يبحثون عن تأمين مستقبلهم ولو بمقابل مادي بسيط، وهذا المبلغ قد لا يؤمّن لأحدهم منزلاً مناسباً بعد الاعتزال. إن مسيرة لاعب كرة السلة قصيرة؛ فأين ذهبت أساطير سلة الاتحاد بعد اعتزالهم؟ اسألوا عن أحوالهم التي قد تكون مؤلمة للبعض!
– أعطوا النجوم قيمتهم الحقيقية ولا تهضموا حقوقهم، لأنهم يبحثون عن تأمين مستقبلهم، وفي المقابل قدموا الكثير من التضحيات من إصابات وإشكاليات مادية واجهتهم دون أن تحرك بعض الإدارات ساكناً، والتنظير سهل من قِبل العقليات التجارية.
– هم لم يشاركوا في تحقيق هذه الإنجازات والألقاب، لذلك يسهل عليهم محوها، ادخلوا مقر نادي الاتحاد لتعرفوا قيمة هذه الإنجازات وهي تتزين داخل النادي، ويقول لسان حال التاريخ: «أنا بطل آسيا.. لماذا تعاملونني هكذا؟!».
– في الاتحاد هناك قصة عشق كبيرة، تعايشتُ مع هذه القصة لفترة طويلة؛ حيث رافقتُ «سلة الأحلام» موفداً إعلامياً في كثير من البطولات الخارجية وتعرفت عليهم عن قرب، وعشت معهم أفراحهم الجميلة في تحقيق بطولة آسيا، والبطولة العربية، والبطولات الخليجية التي حققوها، وكان الفرح هو عنوان معظم المشاركات.
– تكفون.. لا تهدموا ذلك الإرث والتاريخ الناصع البياض من أجل فكر تجاري أصبح يسيطر على عقول بعض إدارات الأندية، ولا تهدموا تلك القصة الجميلة لتتحول «سلة الأحلام» إلى «سلة الأوهام».

Since when are matters in various sports, specifically basketball, calculated this way?! These sports belong to the fans, and they are the first line for national teams. The question here is: Does football cover its huge expenses with its revenues?
– Oh, Union management, these sports have their popularity and their fans, so why are you neglecting this enjoyment?! Oh, Union management, how many times did star Mohammed Al-Murwani request to renew his contract, and why was it not renewed? What amount did Yasser Al-Juhani request for renewal that led to his request being rejected and not renewed?!
– By doing this, you are distancing the “dream team” from the podiums of victory and pushing it towards obscurity, just like what happened to the basketball teams of Al-Ahly, Al-Ansar, and Al-Hilal. It is strange and astonishing what is happening from administrations that do not care about the value of these sports! Clubs that were the pillars of Saudi basketball are now on the verge of fading into oblivion due to administrations with a commercial mindset.
– What privileges do basketball players receive in return for renewing their contracts? They are looking to secure their future, even for a modest financial return, and this amount may not even secure a suitable home for any of them after retirement. The career of a basketball player is short; where have the legends of Union basketball gone after their retirement? Ask about their conditions, which may be painful for some!
– Give the stars their true value and do not deny their rights, because they are looking to secure their future, and in return, they have made many sacrifices from injuries and financial issues they faced without some administrations taking any action, and theorizing is easy from the perspective of commercial mindsets.
– They did not participate in achieving these accomplishments and titles, so it is easy for them to erase them. Enter the headquarters of Al-Ittihad Club to understand the value of these achievements as they adorn the club, and history speaks: “I am the Asian champion… why are you treating me this way?!”
– In Al-Ittihad, there is a great love story; I have lived with this story for a long time, as I accompanied the “dream team” as a media delegate in many external tournaments and got to know them closely, sharing their beautiful joys in winning the Asian Championship, the Arab Championship, and the Gulf championships they achieved, with joy being the hallmark of most participations.
– Please… do not destroy that legacy and pristine history for the sake of a commercial mindset that has begun to dominate the minds of some club administrations, and do not ruin that beautiful story to turn the “dream team” into the “team of illusions.”
