سجّلت المنطقة قبالة سواحل جزيرة سولاويسي الإندونيسية زلزالاً بلغت قوته 5.3 درجات على مقياس ريختر.
وذكر المركز الأوروبي المتوسطي لرصد الزلازل أن مركز الهزة وقع على بُعد 152 كيلومتراً جنوب غرب مدينة غورونتالو الساحلية، وعلى عمق 184 كيلومتراً تحت سطح الأرض.
ولم ترد حتى الآن تقارير عن وقوع خسائر بشرية أو أضرار مادية جراء الزلزال، فيما لم تصدر السلطات الإندونيسية تحذيرات من احتمال حدوث موجات تسونامي.
The area off the coast of Indonesia’s Sulawesi Island recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 on the Richter scale.
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre reported that the epicenter of the tremor was located 152 kilometers southwest of the coastal city of Gorontalo, at a depth of 184 kilometers below the Earth’s surface.
No reports have yet emerged of casualties or material damage resulting from the earthquake, and Indonesian authorities have not issued any warnings about the possibility of tsunami waves.
