أعرب وزير خارجية البحرين الدكتور عبد اللطيف الزياني، عن تطلّع بلاده إلى توظيف روسيا علاقتها مع إيران من أجل الالتزام بالقرارات الأممية، مثمناً المواقف الروسية الداعية إلى خفض التصعيد.
وأكد خلال الجلسة الافتتاحية للاجتماع الوزاري المشترك التاسع للحوار الاستراتيجي بين مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية وروسيا الاتحادية، (الأحد)، على ضرورة التوصل إلى حل شامل يكفل إقامة دولة فلسطينية، مشدداً على أهمية تعزيز الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة. وأدان الزياني تعطيل الملاحة في مضيقي هرمز وباب المندب، وأدان الاعتداءات الحوثية على الأعيان المدنية في السعودية، مؤكداً أن أمن دول مجلس التعاون يمثل ركيزة أساسية للأمن الدولي.
من جانبه، نوه وزير الخارجية الروسي سيرغي لافروف، بأهمية دور دول الخليج في صياغة استقرار المنطقة، مشيراً إلى أن تعزيز الاتصالات مع مجلس التعاون يأتي ضمن أولويات الدبلوماسية الروسية. وشدد وزير الخارجية الروسي خلال الاجتماع المشترك على أن بلاده تؤيد الجهود الرامية إلى منع انزلاق المنطقة إلى حرب واسعة النطاق. وأوضح أن التجارة البينية بين روسيا ودول الخليج ارتفعت بنسبة 44% العام الماضي، لافتاً إلى ارتباط فعالية التعاون الاقتصادي بتحقيق الاستقرار في المنطقة.
The Bahraini Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani expressed his country’s aspiration to leverage Russia’s relationship with Iran to adhere to international resolutions, commending the Russian positions calling for de-escalation.
During the opening session of the ninth joint ministerial meeting of the strategic dialogue between the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Russian Federation on Sunday, he emphasized the necessity of reaching a comprehensive solution that guarantees the establishment of a Palestinian state, stressing the importance of enhancing security and stability in the region. Al-Zayani condemned the disruption of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb, and denounced the Houthi attacks on civilian targets in Saudi Arabia, affirming that the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council states represents a fundamental pillar of international security.
For his part, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov highlighted the importance of the Gulf states’ role in shaping regional stability, noting that enhancing communication with the Gulf Cooperation Council is among the priorities of Russian diplomacy. During the joint meeting, the Russian Foreign Minister stressed that his country supports efforts aimed at preventing the region from sliding into a large-scale war. He explained that trade between Russia and the Gulf states increased by 44% last year, pointing out that the effectiveness of economic cooperation is linked to achieving stability in the region.
