The battlefronts in Yemen have witnessed a military escalation with renewed clashes between the Yemeni government forces and the Houthi terrorist militia. The army announced achieving progress in positions in Taiz Governorate, coinciding with intensified airstrikes and drone attacks against Houthi gatherings and military sites in Marib, as well as targeting combat vehicles in Al-Jawf Governorate.
These developments come amid ongoing confrontations on several fronts, while military operations continue aimed at undermining the combat capabilities of the Houthis and preventing the reinforcement of their field positions.
Government forces advance in Mount Saber
The media center for the Taiz axis announced that government forces, supported by popular resistance, achieved field progress in the areas of Al-Sunamat and Al-Sarari in Mount Saber, south of the city of Taiz, following an attack that began early Sunday on Houthi positions. It clarified that clashes continued on several fronts in the governorate, most notably around Mount Han and Al-Dhabab to the west, and the fronts of Al-Shuqab, Al-Aqroud, and Al-Masrak to the south, in addition to the air defense and Ghurab fronts northwest of the city. It noted that the northern and eastern fronts witnessed intermittent clashes, which intensified at times, amid ongoing military movements between the two sides.
In the same context, the center reported that warplanes carried out, early Sunday, three airstrikes targeting Houthi gatherings in the areas of Tabbat Al-Danin and Madarat northwest of Taiz, as part of military operations aimed at targeting their positions and movements.
Targeting Houthi reinforcements in Marib
In Marib Governorate, the media center of the armed forces announced that the drone forces of the third military region targeted gatherings, reinforcements, and military barracks of the Houthis on the southern fronts of the governorate, northeast of the country. The Marib fronts hold military significance due to the strategic location of the governorate, while military movements there represent one of the ongoing confrontation axes between government forces and the Houthis.
Shelling Houthi armored vehicles in Al-Jawf
In another field development, the artillery of the sixth military region targeted Houthi combat vehicles in the southeast of Al-Hazm city, the center of Al-Jawf Governorate, according to the media center of the Yemeni armed forces. The simultaneous operations in Taiz, Marib, and Al-Jawf reflect the widening scope of military movements on various fronts, with government forces relying on airstrikes, artillery, and drones to target Houthi gatherings and their combat equipment.
