Al-Nasr coach Ange Postecoglou expressed his happiness with the 1-0 victory over Neom in the match held at Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh, as part of the tenth round of the Saudi Pro League “Roshen”, confirming that the players’ discipline and spirit determined the outcome of a difficult match against a well-organized defensive opponent.
He said in the press conference: “We had to work hard to reach Neom’s goal, and I commend the scoring of the winning goal and maintaining a clean sheet, which reflects the commitment of the group.”
Regarding the missed opportunities, he clarified: “We created many chances in the last two matches and we need more calmness in front of the goal, but continuing to create chances and limiting the opponent’s opportunities is a good foundation for victories.”
He defended the positional changes, asserting that his choices aim for victory, differing with the opinion that Angelo’s performance declined due to being deployed on the wing, citing his goal contributions and assisting in the match’s goal.
He added: “The absences, including Koulibaly, Simakan, and Gharib, necessitate searching for solutions that suit the available players, and I commend the players’ response.”
He emphasized the importance of recovery before the next match in three days amid the pressure of matches.
