Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois mocked the conspiracy theory regarding the disappearance of his Brazilian teammate Vinícius Júnior and his replacement by someone else.
In an interview with the Belgian network “DAZN,” Courtois responded to the famous conspiracy theory that claims the player participating this season is not Vinícius, following the Brazilian star’s cosmetic surgery on his chin.
Courtois said: “Using Photoshop, people make adjustments that give someone a different appearance, then someone starts spreading a conspiracy theory, and it spreads like wildfire. I tell myself: this is impossible, of course it’s Vinícius.”
Mbappé the “Dictator” Makes His Teammates Laugh
Regarding the edited images of his teammate Kylian Mbappé, depicting him as a dictator on social media, Courtois replied: “We laugh about it; sometimes we joke with him in the locker room just for fun, and he finds it funny as well in the end.”
AI Deceives Courtois’ Father
The Real Madrid goalkeeper concluded his remarks by referring to an AI-generated image that circulated of him after he was injured in a match against Manchester City last year, saying: “When I got injured in the match against Manchester City last year, a picture of me in a hospital bed went viral, with players and the club president beside me. My father sent me a message: When was this? I replied: Dad, it’s artificial intelligence.”
