أقرّ الأسترالي آرثر باباس، مدرب الاتفاق، بأن الانشغال بالقرارات التحكيمية أثّر في تركيز فريقه خلال مواجهة التعاون، التي انتهت بالتعادل 1-1، ضمن الجولة الـ12 من دوري روشن السعودي.
وأوضح باباس أن فريقه لم يبدأ المباراة بالطريقة المطلوبة، ولم ينجح في تطبيق أفكاره، خصوصًا خلال الدقائق الأولى، واصفًا البداية بأنها محبطة إلى حد ما.
وأشار إلى أن كثرة الحديث عن التحكيم شتّتت اللاعبين، وجعلت ظروف المباراة أكثر ملاءمة للمنافس، مؤكدًا ضرورة التعلم مما حدث والتركيز على الأداء داخل الملعب.
وأشاد مدرب الاتفاق بالمستوى الدفاعي للتعاون، مشددًا على أهمية عودة فريقه إلى أجواء المباراة، مضيفًا: «من الممكن أن يكون تركيزي على التحكيم قد أثّر علينا وشتّت أذهاننا».
Australian Arthur Papas, the coach of Al-Ettifaq, acknowledged that being preoccupied with refereeing decisions affected his team’s focus during the match against Al-Taawoun, which ended in a 1-1 draw in the 12th round of the Roshn Saudi League.
Papas explained that his team did not start the match in the required manner and failed to implement his ideas, especially during the early minutes, describing the start as somewhat frustrating.
He pointed out that the excessive talk about refereeing distracted the players and made the conditions of the match more favorable for the opponent, emphasizing the need to learn from what happened and focus on performance on the field.
The Al-Ettifaq coach praised Al-Taawoun’s defensive level, stressing the importance of his team returning to the flow of the match, adding: “My focus on refereeing may have affected us and distracted our minds.”
