أعلن المتحدث الإعلامي باسم مديرية الأمن العام الأردني اليوم (السبت)، إحباط تهريب الأسلحة من الحدود الجنوبية للبلاد، بحسب الوكالة الأردنية «بترا».
وقال المتحدث الإعلامي للأمن العام الأردني: ورد بلاغ لمديرية شرطة محافظة الكرك بوجود حقيبة مشبوهة بمنطقة محي بمحافظة الكرك، تم على الفور التحرك للمكان وعزل المنطقة وباشر الخبراء التحقق من تلك الحقيبة، موضحاً أنه وبعد تفتيش الحقيبة التي تم تهريبها بواسطة بالونات حرارية عثر بداخلها على تسعة أسلحة نارية أوتوماتيكية وأجهزة تحديد المواقع، وتم التحفظ عليها.
وأشار إلى أن التحقيقات الأولية أظهرت أن الحقيبة قادمة بفعل الرياح من الحدود الجنوبية للبلاد، مؤكداً أن التحقيقات لا تزال جارية.

The spokesperson for the Jordanian Public Security stated: A report was received by the Karak Governorate Police Directorate regarding a suspicious bag in the Muhi area of Karak Governorate. Immediate action was taken to the location, the area was cordoned off, and experts began to investigate the bag. He clarified that after inspecting the bag, which had been smuggled using thermal balloons, nine automatic firearms and GPS devices were found inside, and they were seized.
He indicated that preliminary investigations revealed that the bag had been carried by the winds from the southern borders of the country, confirming that investigations are still ongoing.
