The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has officially started to offer the Global Entry program to Saudis, which is one of the Trusted Traveler Programs under the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The program aims to enhance bilateral cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the United States and expedite the entry procedures for travelers through designated lanes at U.S. airports.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs listed the benefits of the program at U.S. airports, including reduced waiting times by completing entry procedures faster and verifying identity and passports through self-service kiosks directly, without the need to stand in lines at immigration offices, as well as passing through customs gates via dedicated fast lanes for program members.
Among the benefits upon departure are expedited screening and the advantage of a quicker and easier security check when leaving U.S. airports.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained the mechanism for joining and registering for Global Entry, stating that applications can be submitted entirely online through the official website of the U.S. Trusted Traveler Programs (TTP), and that active membership lasts for five consecutive years after meeting the requirements and approvals.
