كان المفترض أن تكون هذه الأيام هي الأجمل في عمرها، فبطاقات الدعوة وُزعت، وفستان الزفاف ينتظر، وأحلام الاستقرار مع شريك حياتها كانت تملأ عينيها. لكن الأقدار في تركيا خططت لنهاية مفجعة تحولت فيها زغاريد الفرح إلى عويل جنازة يخترق القلوب.
الشابة صفية كايماكجي، ذات التسعة والعشرين ربيعاً، استيقظت باكراً برفقة أقاربها لترتيب منزل الزوجية في مدينة «دنيزلي» وتنظيف أركانه قبل موعد العرس المرتقب. كان الطريق بين «أيدين» و«دنيزلي» يعج بحماس البدايات الجديدة، قبل أن ينقلب كل شيء في لمح البصر صباحاً قرب حي «غينجيلي».
على نحو مفاجئ، فقد السائق السيطرة على عجلة القيادة لتنحرف السيارة بقوة، وتتجاوز الجزيرة الوسطية، وتقتحم المسار المقابل قبل أن تستقر منقلبة على جانب الطريق. اشتعلت ألسنة الهلع قبل وصول فرق الإسعاف والدرك لتجد الحصيلة مرعبة، صفية فارقت الحياة على الفور، بينما نُقل خمسة من أقاربها إلى المستشفى مصابين بجروح متفرقة.
وحدها طرحة الزفاف البيضاء التي عُلِّقت فوق النعش في وداعها الأخير، كانت الشاهد الأكثر قسوة على حكاية أطفئت أنوارها قبل أن تبدأ، تاركةً وراءها غصة حزينة في وجدان كل من عرف تفاصيل الفاجعة.

Suddenly, the driver lost control of the steering wheel, causing the car to veer violently, cross the median, and crash into oncoming traffic before coming to rest overturned on the side of the road. Panic erupted before the arrival of the ambulance and gendarmerie teams, who found the toll horrifying; Safia lost her life instantly, while five of her relatives were taken to the hospital with various injuries.
Only the white wedding veil that was draped over her coffin during her final farewell stood as the harshest witness to a story that was extinguished before it even began, leaving behind a painful lump in the hearts of all who knew the details of the tragedy.
