لم تكن جولة النجمة السورية أصالة نصري الغنائية في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية لتنتهي على أنغام النجاح فحسب، بل شهدت كابوساً مزعجاً بعدما تعرضت لواقعة سرقة مؤلمة استهدفت صندوق ذكرياتها الخاص داخل أحد فنادق مدينة ديترويت فور إسدال الستار على حفلها هناك.
وفي التفاصيل أن أصالة عادت إلى غرفتها متعبة بعد إحياء حفلها الحاشد في الحادي والثلاثين من شهر أكتوبر الماضي، لتفاجأ في صباح اليوم التالي باختفاء علبة مجوهراتها بالكامل. ولم تكن الصدمة مرتبطة بالجانب المادي للقطع الثمينة المسروقة، بقدر ما كانت متعلقة بالجانب المعنوي والنفسي، فالعلبة كانت تحتضن كنوزاً من الذكريات التي لا تقدر بثمن، على رأسها قطع ثمينة تحمل اسم وصورة والدها الراحل، إلى جانب هدايا خاصة قدمها لها زوجها وأبناؤها وأصدقاؤها المقربون، ومجوهرات اقتنتها بنفسها تخليداً لمحطات نجاح كبرى في مسيرتها الفنية، مؤكدة أنها اعتادت اصطحاب حليها الخاصة في رحلاتها الخارجية لتفادي أزمة استعارة قطع الآخرين.
وفور اكتشاف الجريمة، حضرت الشرطة الأمريكية إلى الفندق لمعاينة مسرح الواقعة، غير أن أصالة وجدت نفسها بلا إجابات بعد مرور نحو أسبوع كامل دون التوصل لأي خيوط تقود للمسروقات أو المشتبه بهم، وهو ما دفعها لتأجيل إعلان الخبر طوال تلك الفترة لئلا تعكر صفو جولتها الأمريكية الناجحة التي اختتمتها بثلاث حفلات كبرى في لوس أنجلوس ونيوجيرسي وديترويت.

The shock was not only related to the material aspect of the stolen valuable items but was more connected to the moral and psychological side; the box contained treasures of priceless memories, including precious pieces bearing the name and image of her late father, along with special gifts from her husband, children, and close friends, as well as jewelry she had acquired herself to commemorate major milestones in her artistic career. She confirmed that she was accustomed to taking her personal jewelry on her trips abroad to avoid the hassle of borrowing others’ pieces.
Upon discovering the crime, the American police arrived at the hotel to investigate the scene; however, Assala found herself without answers after nearly a full week had passed without any leads on the stolen items or suspects, which led her to postpone announcing the news during that period so as not to tarnish the success of her American tour, which she concluded with three major concerts in Los Angeles, New Jersey, and Detroit.
