قبلت محكمة مستأنف الاقتصادية في القاهرة الاستئناف المقدم من الفنان فادي خفاجة، واكتفت بتغريمه 20 ألف جنيه، بدلاً من تنفيذ عقوبة السجن لمدة 6 أشهر، في القضية المقامة ضده بتهمة سب وقذف الفنان مجدي كامل، زوج الفنانة مها أحمد.
التحفظ على خفاجة
وشهدت جلسة نظر الاستئناف قيام الجهات الأمنية بالمحكمة الاقتصادية بالتحفظ على الفنان فادي خفاجة، وذلك على خلفية الحكم السابق الصادر بحبسه 6 أشهر، إلى حين صدور قرار المحكمة في الاستئناف المقدم على الحكم.
وتقدم خفاجة في وقت سابق باستئناف رسمي على حكم سجنه لمدة 6 أشهر، الصادر ضده في قضية اتهامه بسب وقذف الفنان مجدي كامل، مطالباً بإلغاء عقوبة الحبس الصادرة بحقه.
الحكم الابتدائي
وقضت محكمة القاهرة الاقتصادية، في حكمها الابتدائي، بسجن خفاجة لمدة 6 أشهر، مع تغريمه مبلغ 20 ألف جنيه، وذلك لإيقاف تنفيذ الحكم، فيما طالب محمود النجدي، محامي دفاع الفنان مجدي كامل، خلال أولى جلسات المحاكمة، بتعويض مدني مؤقت قدره 100 ألف جنيه.
The Economic Appeals Court in Cairo accepted the appeal submitted by artist Fadi Khafaja, and opted to fine him 20,000 Egyptian pounds instead of enforcing a 6-month prison sentence in the case brought against him for defaming and slandering artist Magdy Kamel, the husband of artist Maha Ahmed.
Seizure of Khafaja
During the session to consider the appeal, security authorities at the Economic Court detained artist Fadi Khafaja, following the previous ruling that sentenced him to 6 months in prison, pending the court’s decision on the appeal against the ruling.
Khafaja had previously submitted an official appeal against the 6-month prison sentence issued against him in the case of his accusation of defaming and slandering artist Magdy Kamel, requesting the cancellation of the imprisonment sentence issued against him.
Initial Ruling
The Cairo Economic Court, in its initial ruling, sentenced Khafaja to 6 months in prison and fined him 20,000 Egyptian pounds, while Mahmoud Al-Najdi, the defense lawyer for artist Magdy Kamel, requested a temporary civil compensation of 100,000 Egyptian pounds during the first session of the trial.
