على الرغم من إعلان الولايات المتحدة وإيران تمسكهما بالمسار الدبلوماسي، فإنهما يلوحان بخيارات أخرى، ويعلنان كامل الجهوزية في مواجهة تبدو محتملة، في ظل توتر متصاعد على خلفية الاحتجاجات الأخيرة في إيران.
في كامل الجهوزية
وفيما قالت المتحدثة باسم الحكومة الإيرانية فاطمة مهاجراني، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، إن بلادها تسعى لحل القضايا الإقليمية والدولية عبر القنوات الدبلوماسية، مشددة على أنها «في كامل الجاهزية للرد على أية تهديدات»، اعتبر الرئيسي الأمريكي دونالد ترمب أن الدبلوماسية لا تزال خياراً مطروحاً مع إيران، موضحاً أنها اتصلت به مراراً، وتريد التوصل لاتفاق.
وأكدت مهاجراني أن مسعى الحكومة يتركز على تأمين هدوء المنطقة ضمن إطار «سلام دولي»، ولفتت إلى أن المسار الدبلوماسي هو الخيار المفضل لتأمين المصالح الوطنية.
واعتبرت أن «الاعتماد على الدبلوماسية لا يعني أن الخيارات الأخرى قد أزيلت من على طاولة الحكومة والسيادة الإيرانية»، مشددة على أن «جميع سلطات الدولة تعمل بتنسيق تام وتحت قيادة موحدة».
وأضافت أن قوة إيران تكمن في تضامنها الوطني لمواجهة الظروف التي وصفتها بالعدائية والمحفوفة بالمخاطر. وزادت: «نحن في كامل الجهوزية، ومع الحفاظ على عزتنا الوطنية، سنعبر هذه الظروف الصعبة باستعداد تام من جميع السلطات».
خيارات عسكرية إضافية
ونقل موقع «أكسيوس»، أمس (الإثنين)، عن الرئيسِ ترمب قوله: إن لدى الولايات المتحدة، أسطولاً ضخماً بالقرب من إيران، لكن رغم ذلك، يرى ترمب أن الدبلوماسية لا تزال خياراً مطروحاً مع إيران، موضحاً أنها اتصلت به مراراً، وتريد التوصل لاتفاق.
وكشفت مصادر للموقع الأمريكي أن ترمب لم يتخذ قرارا نهائيا بشأن إيران، وأن من المرجح أن يجري مشاورات إضافية، مع استعراض الخيارات العسكرية.
وأضاف أن الوضع مع إيران «غير مستقر»، ولفت إلى قرار إرسال حاملة الطائرات «يو إس إس أبراهام لينكولن» إلى الشرق الأوسط، مردفاً: «لدينا أسطول كبير قرب إيران.. أكبر من الموجود حول فنزويلا». فيما رفض الخوض في الخيارات التي قدمها له فريق الأمن القومي.
إنهم يعرفون الشروط
من جهته، أعلن مسؤول أمريكي، الاثنين، أن الولايات المتحدة «مستعدة للتعاون» إذا رغبت إيران في التواصل معها.
ورداً على سؤال عن الشروط التي يتعين على طهران الوفاء بها لإجراء محادثات، أضاف «أعتقد أنهم يعرفون الشروط.. إنهم على علم بالشروط».
وحذرت إيران مجدداً من أن أي محاولات لزعزعة أمن المنطقة لا تستهدفها فقط بل ستنتشر إلى مناطق أخرى.
وقال المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية إسماعيل بقائي، أمس إن بلاده «سترد على أي اعتداء عسكري برد يبعث على الندم».
وشدد على أن طهران «باتت اليوم أكثر استعداداً من أي وقت مضى، وسترد على أي اعتداء محتمل برد شامل وحاسم يبعث على الندم».
Despite the United States and Iran announcing their commitment to the diplomatic path, they are hinting at other options and declaring their full readiness in the face of a potential confrontation, amid rising tensions following the recent protests in Iran.
Fully Prepared
Meanwhile, Iranian government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani stated today (Tuesday) that her country seeks to resolve regional and international issues through diplomatic channels, emphasizing that it is “fully prepared to respond to any threats.” U.S. President Donald Trump considered that diplomacy remains an option with Iran, explaining that they have contacted him repeatedly and want to reach an agreement.
Mohajerani confirmed that the government’s efforts focus on ensuring the region’s stability within the framework of “international peace,” noting that the diplomatic path is the preferred option to secure national interests.
She asserted that “relying on diplomacy does not mean that other options have been removed from the table of the Iranian government and sovereignty,” stressing that “all state authorities are working in complete coordination and under unified leadership.”
She added that Iran’s strength lies in its national solidarity to face what she described as hostile and risky conditions. She further stated: “We are fully prepared, and while maintaining our national dignity, we will navigate these difficult circumstances with complete readiness from all authorities.”
Additional Military Options
Axios reported yesterday (Monday) that President Trump said the United States has a massive fleet near Iran, but despite this, Trump believes that diplomacy remains an option with Iran, clarifying that they have contacted him repeatedly and want to reach an agreement.
Sources told the American site that Trump has not made a final decision regarding Iran, and it is likely that he will hold further consultations while reviewing military options.
He added that the situation with Iran is “unstable,” pointing to the decision to send the aircraft carrier “USS Abraham Lincoln” to the Middle East, adding: “We have a large fleet near Iran… larger than the one around Venezuela.” He declined to elaborate on the options presented to him by the national security team.
They Know the Conditions
For his part, an American official announced on Monday that the United States is “ready to cooperate” if Iran wishes to communicate with it.
In response to a question about the conditions Tehran must meet to engage in talks, he added, “I think they know the conditions… they are aware of the conditions.”
Iran has once again warned that any attempts to destabilize the region’s security do not only target it but will spread to other areas.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei stated yesterday that his country “will respond to any military aggression with a response that will cause regret.”
He emphasized that Tehran “is today more prepared than ever and will respond to any potential aggression with a comprehensive and decisive response that will cause regret.”
