قضت محكمة جنح القاهرة الجديدة المنعقدة بالتجمع الخامس بحبس رجل الأعمال المصري أمير الهلالي –المعروف إعلامياً بـ«مستريح السيارات»– لمدة سنتين مع الشغل والنفاذ، وتغريمه المصاريف القضائية، ووضع كفالة قدرها 300 ألف جنيه لإيقاف التنفيذ مؤقتاً، مع إحالة الدعوى المدنية إلى المحكمة المختصة.
جاء الحكم في إحدى القضايا المتعددة المرفوعة ضد الهلالي بتهمة النصب والاحتيال والاستيلاء على أموال المواطنين بزعم استيراد سيارات أجنبية بأسعار أقل بكثير من أسعار السوق المحلية.
وكشفت التحقيقات أن المتهم استغل اسم شركته ومقرها الفاخر في التجمع الخامس لإيهام الضحايا بقدرته على توفير سيارات مستوردة (مثل مرسيدس وغيرها) بأسعار مغرية، مقابل دفع مبالغ مقدمة بالعملة الأجنبية أو المحلية، دون تسليم السيارات أو رد المبالغ.
وتعود أزمة «مستريح السيارات» إلى عام 2023–2024، حيث أسس أمير الهلالي شركة «ليمانز جروب» التي روّج لها كشركة متخصصة في استيراد السيارات بأسعار تنافسية، وقد تمكن من جمع مبالغ طائلة من مئات العملاء، تقدّر بنحو ملياري جنيه بحسب تصريحات محامي الضحايا، قبل أن يغادر البلاد هارباً في منتصف 2025.
أساليب احتيالية منظمة
ووفقاً للتحقيقات، استخدمت الشركة أساليب احتيالية منظمة شملت عرض عقود وكالة رسمية مزعومة، وإيهام العملاء بوجود تسهيلات جمركية وعلاقات مع موزعين خارجيين، ودفع بعض الضحايا لجلب عملاء جدد مقابل وعود بتخفيضات إضافية، وإصدار شيكات دون رصيد لاحقاً لإيهام الضحايا بجدية التعامل.
وسبق أن صدرت عدة أحكام غيابية ضد الهلالي في قضايا مشابهة، منها حبس 3 سنوات في قضية شيك دون رصيد، وحكم آخر بالحبس 3 سنوات مع كفالة 500 ألف جنيه، وبعد هروبه، تم إدراج اسمه على قوائم الترقب والوصول، ثم أُلقي القبض عليه في دولة الإمارات في يونيو 2025، وتم تسليمه للسلطات المصرية عبر الإنتربول والتنسيق بين النيابة العامة وإدارة التعاون الدولي.
ويواجه الهلالي حالياً نحو 50 قضية نصب وشيكات دون رصيد واتجار غير مشروع، ويقدر إجمالي الأحكام الصادرة ضده سابقاً بالحبس نحو 35 عاماً في مجموع القضايا المثبتة حتى الآن.
The New Cairo Misdemeanor Court, convened in the Fifth Settlement, sentenced Egyptian businessman Amir Al-Hilali – known in the media as the “Car Swindler” – to two years in prison with hard labor and enforcement, fined him for court expenses, and set a bail of 300,000 Egyptian pounds to temporarily suspend the execution, referring the civil case to the competent court.
The ruling came in one of the multiple cases filed against Al-Hilali on charges of fraud and embezzlement of citizens’ money under the pretext of importing foreign cars at prices much lower than local market prices.
Investigations revealed that the accused exploited the name of his company and its luxurious headquarters in the Fifth Settlement to deceive victims into believing he could provide imported cars (such as Mercedes and others) at attractive prices, in exchange for upfront payments in foreign or local currency, without delivering the cars or refunding the amounts.
The “Car Swindler” crisis dates back to 2023-2024, when Amir Al-Hilali established “Lehman’s Group,” which he promoted as a company specializing in importing cars at competitive prices. He managed to collect vast sums of money from hundreds of clients, estimated at around two billion pounds according to statements from the victims’ lawyer, before fleeing the country in mid-2025.
Organized Fraudulent Methods
According to investigations, the company employed organized fraudulent methods, including presenting alleged official agency contracts, misleading clients about customs facilitation and relationships with external distributors, urging some victims to bring in new clients in exchange for promises of additional discounts, and issuing bounced checks later to mislead victims about the seriousness of the transactions.
Several absentia judgments had previously been issued against Al-Hilali in similar cases, including a three-year prison sentence in a bounced check case, and another ruling of three years in prison with a bail of 500,000 pounds. After his escape, his name was added to the watch and arrival lists, and he was arrested in the United Arab Emirates in June 2025, then handed over to Egyptian authorities via Interpol and coordination between the Public Prosecution and the International Cooperation Department.
Al-Hilali currently faces about 50 cases of fraud and bounced checks and illegal trading, with the total sentences previously issued against him amounting to approximately 35 years in prison across the confirmed cases so far.
