أعلن نادي برشلونة الإسباني، اليوم السبت، رسمياً انسحابه من مشروع دوري السوبر الأوروبي (السوبرليغ)، في خطوة رسمية تأتي بعد فترة من التباعد التدريجي عن المشروع الذي أطلقه رئيس ريال مدريد، فلورنتينو بيريز.
وجاء في بيان النادي: «يُعلن نادي برشلونة اليوم أنه قد أبلغ رسمياً شركة دوري السوبر الأوروبي (السوبرليغ) وباقي الأندية المشاركة بقرار انسحابه من المشروع»، مؤكداً بذلك نهاية مشاركة النادي الكتالوني في المبادرة المثيرة للجدل منذ إطلاقها في أبريل 2021.
وكان برشلونة، إلى جانب ريال مدريد ويوفنتوس، من بين آخر الأندية الملتزمة بالمشروع بعد أن انسحب 9 من الأعضاء المؤسسين البالغ عددها 12 نادياً خلال 48 ساعة من الإعلان الأول. وقد عزز هذا القرار التباعد بين برشلونة وريال مدريد على المستوى المؤسسي، خصوصاً في ظل تدهور العلاقات بين الناديين خلال الأشهر الماضية.
يُذكر أن دوري السوبر الأوروبي (السوبرليغ) طرح مسابقةً بديلةً لدوري أبطال أوروبا؛ بهدف منح الأندية الكبرى مزيداً من السيطرة على الإيرادات، لكن الفكرة قوبلت برد فعل شعبي ورسمي شديد الرفض، إذ اعتبرت تهديداً لتوازن المنافسة في كرة القدم الأوروبية.
وأكدت المصادر أن قرار برشلونة جاء بعد تقييم شامل للوضع القانوني والرياضي، ومع مراعاة مصالح النادي وجماهيره، إضافة إلى تعزيز علاقاته مع الاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم (UEFA) ورابطة الأندية الأوروبية (ECA)، التي يقودها رئيس نادي باريس سان جيرمان ناصر الخليفي.
بهذا الانسحاب، يصبح ريال مدريد النادي الوحيد المتبقي متمسكاً بالمشروع، في وقت يظل فيه مستقبل دوري السوبر الأوروبي (السوبرليغ) محل شك كبير وسط رفض شبه كامل من الأندية الأوروبية والهيئات الرسمية.
يأتي هذا التطور في وقت يعاني فيه النادي الكتالوني من تحديات مالية، ويزيد من حدة التنافس المؤسسي مع ريال مدريد، خصوصاً في ضوء النزاعات القانونية السابقة المتعلقة بالتحكيم والسيطرة على مسابقات الأندية الأوروبية.
FC Barcelona officially announced today, Saturday, its withdrawal from the European Super League project, in a formal step that comes after a period of gradual distancing from the initiative launched by Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez.
The club’s statement read: “FC Barcelona announces today that it has officially informed the European Super League company and the other participating clubs of its decision to withdraw from the project,” thus confirming the end of the Catalan club’s participation in the controversial initiative since its launch in April 2021.
Barcelona, along with Real Madrid and Juventus, was among the last clubs committed to the project after 9 of the 12 founding members withdrew within 48 hours of the initial announcement. This decision has further deepened the institutional rift between Barcelona and Real Madrid, especially given the deterioration of relations between the two clubs in recent months.
It is worth noting that the European Super League proposed an alternative competition to the UEFA Champions League, aiming to give major clubs more control over revenues, but the idea faced a strong public and official backlash, as it was considered a threat to the competitive balance in European football.
Sources confirmed that Barcelona’s decision came after a comprehensive assessment of the legal and sporting situation, taking into account the interests of the club and its fans, as well as strengthening its relationships with UEFA and the European Club Association (ECA), led by Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
With this withdrawal, Real Madrid becomes the only remaining club committed to the project, while the future of the European Super League remains highly uncertain amid near-complete rejection from European clubs and official bodies.
This development comes at a time when the Catalan club is facing financial challenges, intensifying the institutional rivalry with Real Madrid, particularly in light of previous legal disputes related to arbitration and control over European club competitions.
