في واقعة غريبة حبست أنفاس المتابعين، تحولت لحظة عشاء هادئة داخل منزل في بلجيكا إلى أزمة طبية نادرة، بعدما ابتلعت شابة ملعقة بطول 17 سنتيمتراً دفعة واحدة، إثر قفزة مفاجئة من كلبها أثناء تناولها الطعام.
كانت الشابة ريمي أملينكس (28 عاماً) تجلس على الأريكة تتناول الزبادي بهدوء، قبل أن يقفز كلبها من فصيلة «الهنغاريان فيزلا» النشطة على جسدها بشكل مفاجئ، ما تسبب في انزلاق الملعقة داخل حلقها، ووضعها أمام خيارين أحلاهما مرّ: الاختناق أو ابتلاع الملعقة بالكامل.
وقالت ريمي في تصريحات صحفية: «شعرت بالملعقة تنزلق إلى معدتي، ولم يكن هناك وقت للتفكير».
وبرغم خطورة ما حدث، اختارت الشابة الصمت بدافع الحرج، ولم تخبر شريكها عند عودته من العمل، مدّعية أن كل شيء طبيعي. إلا أن الساعات التالية كشفت حجم المأزق، مع شعورها بالغثيان، وانتفاخ في البطن، وإحساس مرعب بحركة جسم غريب داخل معدتها، ما جعل النوم شبه مستحيل.
وبعد مراجعة الأطباء، جاءت الصدمة الثانية: فالملعقة أكبر من أن تمر عبر الجهاز الهضمي طبيعياً، ولا بد من تدخل طبي عاجل. وبعد انتظار يومين تحت المراقبة، خضعت ريمي لعملية منظار معدة تحت التخدير الموضعي، اضطر خلالها الأطباء إلى تدوير الملعقة بعناية داخل المعدة لسحبها، ما تسبب في نزيف طفيف والتهاب مؤقت في الحلق.
وأكد الفريق الطبي أن الشابة لم تتعرض لأي مضاعفات دائمة، فيما قررت ريمي الاحتفاظ بالملعقة بعد استخراجها، معتبرة إياها «ذكرى من أغرب لحظة في حياتها»، بل إن شريكها يخطط (بحسب قولها) لتحويلها إلى قطعة فنية داخل المنزل.

The young woman, Remy Amelinx (28 years old), was sitting on the couch quietly enjoying yogurt when her active Hungarian Vizsla dog unexpectedly jumped onto her body, causing the spoon to slip down her throat, leaving her with two equally unpleasant options: choking or swallowing the spoon entirely.
Remy stated in press remarks: “I felt the spoon sliding into my stomach, and there was no time to think.”
Despite the seriousness of what had happened, the young woman chose to remain silent out of embarrassment and did not tell her partner when he returned from work, claiming that everything was normal. However, the following hours revealed the extent of the predicament, as she felt nauseous, experienced abdominal swelling, and had a terrifying sensation of a foreign object moving inside her stomach, making sleep nearly impossible.
