شهد مقر مجلس الشورى، أمس، مباحثات رسمية بين المملكة العربية السعودية وجمهورية فرنسا، إذ استقبل نائب رئيس مجلس الشورى الدكتور مشعل فهم السُّلمي وفداً من لجنة الشؤون الخارجية والدفاع والقوات المسلحة بمجلس الشيوخ الفرنسي برئاسة السيناتور سيدريك بيران، وذلك ضمن الزيارة الرسمية التي يقوم بها الوفد للمملكة.
ورحّب نائب رئيس الشورى بالوفد الفرنسي، مؤكداً عمق العلاقات التاريخية التي تجمع البلدين، مشيراً إلى أن التعاون البرلماني يمثل ركيزة مهمة لدعم الجهود المشتركة وتعزيز العلاقات الثنائية في مختلف المجالات.
وتناول اللقاء بحث سبل تطوير التعاون البرلماني بين المجلسين، إضافة إلى مناقشة عدد من الموضوعات ذات الاهتمام المشترك.
The headquarters of the Shura Council witnessed official discussions yesterday between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the French Republic, as the Vice President of the Shura Council, Dr. Mishal Fahm Al-Sulami, received a delegation from the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense, and Armed Forces of the French Senate, headed by Senator Cédric Perrin, as part of the official visit the delegation is making to the Kingdom.
The Vice President of the Shura Council welcomed the French delegation, affirming the deep historical relations that bind the two countries, noting that parliamentary cooperation represents an important pillar for supporting joint efforts and enhancing bilateral relations in various fields.
The meeting addressed ways to develop parliamentary cooperation between the two councils, in addition to discussing a number of topics of mutual interest.
