أكّد رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الخارجية وشؤون المغتربين الدكتور شائع محسن الزنداني، أن الدعم السعودي لليمن استثنائي وتاريخي، يجمع بين الأبعاد السياسية والإنسانية والتنموية، واعتبره دعماً ثابتاً يعكس قناعة السعودية بأن استقرار اليمن جزء أساسي لضمان استقرار المنطقة.
وثمّن الزنداني، في أول حوار له أجرته معه «عكاظ» بعد تعيينه رئيساً لمجلس الوزراء وتشكيل الحكومة اليمنية الدور الأخوي للسعودية، متطلّعاً في المرحلة القادمة إلى تعميق الشراكة، خصوصاً في دعم الاستقرار الاقتصادي، وتمويل المشاريع التنموية، وتحسين الخدمات.
وقال رئيس الوزراء اليمني، إن الحكومة تشكّلت على أساس الكفاءة والقدرة على الإنجاز، مع مراعاة التوافقات السياسية الضرورية للاستقرار.
وأضاف أن ما يعد به وأعضاء الحكومة هو نتائج ملموسة في الملفات الخدمية والاقتصادية، وتعزيز حضور الدولة، والانتقال من إدارة الأزمات إلى بناء مؤسسات فاعلة تقوم على الحوكمة والشفافية والعمل الميداني، الذي يضع مصلحة المواطنين فوق كل اعتبار.

للعودة إلى عدن التزام سياسي
• الحكومة مطالبة بالعودة إلى عدن.. هل الأوضاع مهيأة؟

•• نثمّن رعاية السعودية لمؤتمر الحوار الجنوبي استجابة لطلب رئيس مجلس القيادة الرئاسي، ونراه خطوة مهمة لمعالجة القضية الجنوبية العادلة في إطار وطني جامع، بما يدعم الاستقرار والمسار السياسي الشامل في اليمن.

• ما رسالتكم للمواطن اليمني؟
•• نقول لأبناء شعبنا إن الحكومة تعمل بجدية ومسؤولية، وبدعم الأشقاء، لتحسين معيشتهم، وندرك حجم المعاناة، ونعِد بالعمل بشفافية، وأن يكون المواطن محور سياساتنا، والطريق صعب، لكن بتكاتف الجميع سنعبر هذه المرحلة وسنعمل على إعادة بناء دولة تستحق تضحيات شعبها.
The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Dr. Sha’if Mohsen Al-Zandani, confirmed that Saudi support for Yemen is exceptional and historic, combining political, humanitarian, and developmental dimensions. He considered it a steadfast support that reflects Saudi Arabia’s conviction that the stability of Yemen is an essential part of ensuring the stability of the region.
Al-Zandani praised, in his first interview with “Okaz” after his appointment as Prime Minister and the formation of the Yemeni government, the fraternal role of Saudi Arabia, looking forward in the coming phase to deepening the partnership, especially in supporting economic stability, funding development projects, and improving services.
The Yemeni Prime Minister stated that the government was formed based on competence and the ability to achieve results, while taking into account the necessary political agreements for stability.
He added that what he and the government members promise is tangible results in service and economic files, enhancing the presence of the state, and transitioning from crisis management to building effective institutions based on governance, transparency, and field work, which places the interests of citizens above all else.

Trust is a Mandate and Historical Responsibility
• Congratulations on the formation of the new government and its oath of office. How do you view this trust in light of the difficult circumstances?
•• We deal with this trust and all members of the government as a national mandate and a historical responsibility in a pivotal stage of the nation’s history, and we are aware of the magnitude of the challenges. However, we rely on the support of the political leadership headed by the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, and the support of our brothers, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Our perspective is realistic, based on the will to work hard, and translating this trust into results that the citizen can feel, who has suffered for a long time due to the Houthi militia coup and the war it ignited.

• Is the new government a government of competencies or a power-sharing arrangement? What is expected from it?
•• The government was formed based on competence and the ability to achieve results, while considering the necessary political agreements for stability. Our Strategy to Overcome Difficulties
• How will you overcome the difficulties related to the citizen’s livelihood?
•• We do not deny the difficulty of the reality; the citizen suffers the consequences of a prolonged war. Our strategy to overcome these difficulties relies on controlling resources, improving spending efficiency, and enhancing transparency, in addition to benefiting from the support provided by our partners, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to ensure the sustainability of solutions, not just temporary remedies. We also aim to direct external support towards direct service sectors, and our goal is to alleviate the living burdens through strict economic measures.
Saudi Support is a Fundamental Pillar
• How do you evaluate the role of the King Salman Relief Center and the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen?
•• It is impossible to talk about recovery in Yemen without praising the pivotal role of the King Salman Relief Center and the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen. They are true field partners who have moved beyond emergency relief to sustainable development, and their impact is evident in infrastructure and vital services. This role forms a fundamental pillar for the government’s plans for comprehensive advancement and is a living testament to the depth of the fraternal commitment of the Kingdom, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his Crown Prince, Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman. We are keen to work in full coordination to ensure the integration of these efforts with the government’s plans and priorities in the coming phase.
Investing in the Yemeni Human
• Are you confident in the return of health and educational services and the operation of airports and ports?
•• Yes, the ambitions are great, and we are keen in the government’s program to prepare clear timelines to activate these facilities more efficiently. Operating airports and ports is a cornerstone of the economy, and improving health and education is an investment in the Yemeni human, with the support of our partners, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Significant Improvement in Water and Electricity
• What is the current situation of electricity and water?
•• There has been significant improvement in electricity and water in the liberated governorates thanks to Saudi support, and we will continue to work on urgent emergency solutions alongside sustainable strategic projects, especially in alternative energy and water, to ensure the stability of these services in the short, medium, and long term.
Returning to Aden is a Political Commitment
• The government is required to return to Aden. Are the conditions suitable?
•• Aden is the temporary capital and the starting point for government work. Our return there is a political and moral commitment. There is high security coordination, and the presence of the government in the interior is the guarantee to enhance the presence of the state and complete the restoration of its institutions.
The Southern Conference is an Important Step
• How do you view the Southern Dialogue Conference in Riyadh?
•• We appreciate Saudi Arabia’s sponsorship of the Southern Dialogue Conference in response to the request of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, and we see it as an important step to address the just southern issue within a comprehensive national framework, supporting stability and the comprehensive political path in Yemen.
The Government Will Work Seriously and Responsibly
• What is your message to the Yemeni citizen?
•• We tell our people that the government is working seriously and responsibly, with the support of our brothers, to improve their living conditions. We are aware of the magnitude of the suffering, and we promise to work transparently, making the citizen the focus of our policies. The road is difficult, but with everyone’s cooperation, we will overcome this phase and work to rebuild a state that deserves the sacrifices of its people.
