كشفت وكالة الاستخبارات الوطنية في كوريا الجنوبية، اليوم (الخميس)، أن الزعيم الكوري الشمالي كيم جونغ أون اختار ابنته كيم جو-آي وريثةً محتملة لقيادة البلاد، في خطوة قد تمثل تحولًا لافتًا في نظام الحكم الوراثي ببيونغ يانغ.
جو-آي وريثة محتملة
وبحسب شبكة «بي بي سي» فإن الوكالة أوضحت، خلال إحاطة للبرلمان في سيول، أنها استندت في تقييمها إلى «مجموعة من المؤشرات»، أبرزها الحضور العلني المتزايد للطفلة كيم جو-آي في مناسبات رسمية رفيعة المستوى، وظهورها المتكرر إلى جانب والدها في فعاليات سياسية وعسكرية بارزة.
وخلال الأشهر الماضية، لفتت جو-آي الأنظار بمشاركتها في احتفالات الذكرى السنوية لتأسيس الجيش الشعبي الكوري، وزيارتها قصر كومسوسان للشمس، حيث يرقد الزعيمان الراحلان كيم إيل سونغ وكيم جونغ إيل، كما رافقت والدها في زيارة إلى بكين لحضور عرض عسكري ضخم، وهي أول رحلة خارجية معروفة لها.
النائب الكوري الجنوبي لي سيونغ-كويون أكد للصحفيين أن جو-آي، التي كانت توصف سابقًا بأنها «تتلقى إعدادًا» لخلافة والدها، دخلت الآن مرحلة «تعيين الوريث رسميًا»، مشيرًا إلى رصد مؤشرات على إبدائها آراء بشأن بعض السياسات العامة، ما يعكس منحها دورًا يتجاوز الظهور الرمزي.
عائلة كيم جونغ أون
وتُعد جو-آي، البالغة من العمر نحو 13 عامًا، الطفلة الوحيدة المعروفة علنًا لكيم جونغ أون وزوجته ري سول جو، وبينما تعتقد الاستخبارات الكورية الجنوبية أن للزعيم ابنًا أكبر سنًا، فإن هذا الابن لم يظهر مطلقًا في وسائل الإعلام الرسمية، ولم يُعترف به رسميًا.
وكان أول كشف عن وجود جو-آي قد جاء بشكل غير متوقع عام 2013، عبر لاعب كرة السلة الأمريكي دينيس رودمان، الذي صرّح لصحيفة “الغارديان” بأنه حمل “الطفلة جو-آي” خلال زيارة إلى كوريا الشمالية.
أول ظهور لـ جو-آي
وظهرت جو-آي للمرة الأولى على التلفزيون الرسمي عام 2022، عندما رافقت والدها في تفقد صاروخ باليستي عابر للقارات، ممسكة بيده، ومنذ ذلك الحين، بات حضورها الإعلامي متكررًا، في مشاهد يرى مراقبون أنها تسهم في تلطيف صورة والدها الذي يُعرف بصرامته.
ويشير محللون إلى أن ظهورها المتكرر في مواقع متقدمة داخل الصور الرسمية أحيانًا بمستوى موازٍ لوالدها يحمل دلالات رمزية كبيرة في بلد تُعد فيه الصور الرسمية جزءًا من الرسائل السياسية الدقيقة، كما لفت انتباه المراقبين ارتداؤها ملابس فاخرة وتسريحات شعر لا يُسمح بها عادة لفتيات في سنها داخل البلاد.
النائب بارك سون-وون قال إن الدور الذي تؤديه جو-آي في المناسبات العامة يوحي بأنها بدأت تشارك في تقديم مدخلات سياسية، وأنها تُعامل فعليًا كثاني أقوى شخصية في هرم السلطة بعد والدها.
وتأتي هذه التطورات في إطار نظام حكم انتقل عبر 3 أجيال من عائلة كيم، بدءًا من المؤسس كيم إيل سونغ، مرورًا بكيم جونغ إيل، وصولًا إلى كيم جونغ أون، ويرى كثيرون أن اختيار جو-آي يعزز فرضية استمرار الحكم العائلي.
The National Intelligence Service of South Korea revealed today (Thursday) that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has chosen his daughter Kim Ju-ae as a potential heir to lead the country, a move that could represent a significant shift in the hereditary regime in Pyongyang.
Ju-ae as a Potential Heir
According to the BBC, the agency explained during a briefing to parliament in Seoul that it based its assessment on “a range of indicators,” the most notable being the increasing public presence of Kim Ju-ae at high-level official events and her repeated appearances alongside her father at prominent political and military activities.
In recent months, Ju-ae has drawn attention by participating in the celebrations for the anniversary of the founding of the Korean People’s Army and visiting the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, where the late leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il lie in state. She also accompanied her father on a visit to Beijing to attend a massive military parade, marking her first known foreign trip.
South Korean lawmaker Lee Seung-kwon confirmed to reporters that Ju-ae, who was previously described as “being prepared” to succeed her father, has now entered the stage of “officially appointing the heir,” noting that there are signs of her expressing opinions on certain public policies, reflecting a role that goes beyond mere symbolic appearances.
The Kim Jong Un Family
Ju-ae, who is about 13 years old, is the only publicly known child of Kim Jong Un and his wife Ri Sol-ju. While South Korean intelligence believes that the leader has an older son, this son has never appeared in official media and has not been officially recognized.
The first revelation of Ju-ae’s existence came unexpectedly in 2013, through American basketball player Dennis Rodman, who stated to The Guardian that he had “held the child Ju-ae” during a visit to North Korea.
Ju-ae’s First Appearance
Ju-ae made her first appearance on state television in 2022 when she accompanied her father to inspect an intercontinental ballistic missile, holding his hand. Since then, her media presence has become frequent, in scenes that observers see as contributing to softening her father’s image, known for his sternness.
Analysts point out that her repeated appearances in prominent positions within official images, sometimes at a level parallel to her father’s, carry significant symbolic implications in a country where official images are part of precise political messaging. Observers have also noted her wearing luxurious clothing and hairstyles that are typically not permitted for girls her age within the country.
Lawmaker Park Sun-won stated that Ju-ae’s role at public events suggests that she has begun to participate in providing political inputs and that she is effectively treated as the second most powerful figure in the power hierarchy after her father.
These developments come within a regime that has transitioned through three generations of the Kim family, starting with founder Kim Il Sung, followed by Kim Jong Il, and now Kim Jong Un. Many see Ju-ae’s selection as reinforcing the hypothesis of the continuation of dynastic rule.
