بحث وزير الصناعة والثروة المعدنية بندر الخريّف، خلال زيارته إلى مملكة بلجيكا، سبل تطوير الشراكة الاقتصادية بين المملكة والاتحاد الأوروبي، في خطوة تستهدف ترسيخ دور المملكة كشريك محوري في دعم الأمن الاقتصادي العالمي وتعزيز تكامل سلاسل الإمداد، وضمان انسيابية التجارة الدولية وتأمين إمدادات المعادن الحيوية.
وعقد الخريّف اجتماعاً مع المفوضة الأوروبية لشؤون المتوسط، ناقش خلاله آفاق توسيع التعاون الثنائي ورفع مستوى التنسيق في الملفات ذات الاهتمام المشترك، بما يعزز الاستقرار الاقتصادي الإقليمي والدولي ويرفع مرونة الاقتصادات في مواجهة التحولات العالمية.
كما اجتمع مع المفوض الأوروبي للتجارة والأمن الاقتصادي، حيث تناول اللقاء تعزيز التعاون في مجالات التجارة وأمن سلاسل الإمداد، إضافة إلى تأمين المعادن الحرجة واستكشاف فرص تكامل سلاسل القيمة الصناعية بين المملكة ودول الاتحاد الأوروبي، وتوسيع الاستثمارات المشتركة في القطاعات ذات الأولوية.
وتأتي هذه اللقاءات ضمن برنامج زيارة الوزير إلى بلجيكا، الهادفة إلى تبادل الخبرات مع الدول الأوروبية في الصناعات المتقدمة، وجذب استثمارات نوعية تدعم مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030.
وعلى هامش الزيارة، عقد الخريّف اجتماع طاولة مستديرة مع كبرى الشركات البلجيكية وعدد من المستثمرين، استعرض خلاله فرص تعميق الشراكات في قطاعي الصناعة والتعدين، إلى جانب إبراز دور رؤية 2030 في تمكين التحول الصناعي وتعظيم مساهمة القطاعين في تنويع الاقتصاد الوطني.
During his visit to the Kingdom of Belgium, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Al-Khorayef discussed ways to develop the economic partnership between the Kingdom and the European Union, in a step aimed at reinforcing the Kingdom’s role as a pivotal partner in supporting global economic security, enhancing the integration of supply chains, ensuring the smooth flow of international trade, and securing supplies of critical minerals.
Al-Khorayef held a meeting with the European Commissioner for Mediterranean Affairs, during which they discussed the prospects of expanding bilateral cooperation and raising the level of coordination on issues of mutual interest, which enhances regional and international economic stability and increases the resilience of economies in the face of global transformations.
He also met with the European Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security, where the meeting addressed enhancing cooperation in the fields of trade and supply chain security, in addition to securing critical minerals and exploring opportunities for integrating industrial value chains between the Kingdom and EU countries, as well as expanding joint investments in priority sectors.
These meetings are part of the minister’s visit program to Belgium, aimed at exchanging experiences with European countries in advanced industries and attracting quality investments that support the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
On the sidelines of the visit, Al-Khorayef held a roundtable meeting with major Belgian companies and several investors, during which he reviewed opportunities to deepen partnerships in the industrial and mining sectors, while highlighting the role of Vision 2030 in enabling industrial transformation and maximizing the contribution of both sectors to diversifying the national economy.
