يخوض المنتخب المغربي لكرة القدم نهائيات كأس العالم 2026 المقررة في الولايات المتحدة وكندا والمكسيك، بطموح الدفاع عن إنجازه التاريخي في كأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022، عندما وصل إلى الدور نصف النهائي كأول منتخب عربي وأفريقي يحقق هذا الإنجاز.
ويسعى بطل القارة الإفريقية لتأكيد مكانته العالمية التي وصل إليها بتواجده في المركز الثامن على العالم في التصنيف الحالي للاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم «فيفا».
وسيشارك المغرب في النسخة المونديالية القادمة للمرة السابعة في تاريخه، والثالثة تواليا، حيث سبق وشارك في المونديال أعوام (1970، 1986، 1994، 1998، 2018، 2022)، فيما ضمن تأهله لكأس العالم 2026 مبكرا بعد تصدره مجموعته في التصفيات الأفريقية، ليكون أول منتخب أفريقي يحجز مقعده في النهائيات.
وأوقعت قرعة المونديال المرتقب، المغرب في مجموعة قوية تضم البرازيل وإسكتلندا وهايتي، حيث سيبدأ مشواره بمواجهة المنتخب البرازيلي يوم 13 يونيو الجاري، ثم يلتقي أسكتلندا يوم 19 يونيو، قبل أن يختتم دور المجموعات أمام هايتي يوم 24 من الشهر نفسه.
ويطمح المنتخب المغربي لتكرار مسيرته التاريخية على غرار ما فعل في كأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022 عندما قدم أفضل مسيرة لمنتخب عربي في النهائيات، استهلها بالتعادل السلبي أمام منتخب كرواتيا، وصيف بطل العالم في نسخة 2018، وأعقبها بانتصار تاريخي على بلجيكا بهدفين دون رد، ثم الفوز على كندا بهدفين مقابل هدف، ليحسم صدارة المجموعة السادسة برصيد سبع نقاط.
وفي الدور ثمن النهائي، واجه منتخب إسبانيا في واحدة من أبرز مباريات البطولة، حيث انتهى الوقتان الأصلي والإضافي بالتعادل السلبي، قبل أن يحسم المغرب المواجهة بركلات الترجيح بنتيجة (3 – 0).
وفي ربع النهائي تمكن المنتخب المغربي من إقصاء البرتغال بقيادة كريستيانو رونالدو، بتغلبه عليه بهدف دون رد، ليتأهل لنصف النهائي محققا إنجازا تاريخيا غير مسبوق، قبل أن يخسر أمام فرنسا حاملة لقب مونديال 2018 بهدفين دون رد.
وفي مباراة تحديد المركزين الثالث والرابع خسر أمام كرواتيا بهدفين لهدف لينهي البطولة في المركز الرابع.

The draw for the anticipated World Cup placed Morocco in a strong group that includes Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti, where it will begin its journey by facing the Brazilian team on June 13, followed by a match against Scotland on June 19, before concluding the group stage against Haiti on June 24.

In the quarter-finals, the Moroccan team managed to eliminate Portugal, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, by defeating them 1-0, qualifying for the semi-finals and achieving an unprecedented historic accomplishment, before losing to France, the 2018 World Cup champion, with a score of 2-0.
In the match for third and fourth place, Morocco lost to Croatia with a score of 2-1, finishing the tournament in fourth place.
The 2026 World Cup represents a new opportunity for Morocco to enhance its status as an emerging football power on the international level, especially with preparations underway to host the 2030 World Cup in partnership with Spain and Portugal.

In addition to reaching the semi-finals in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Morocco succeeded in winning the bronze medal at the “Paris 2024” Olympic Games, the Africa Nations Championship “Pamoja 2024,” and the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025, while the youth team won the Under-20 World Cup /Chile 2025/, among other achievements at the level of youth teams and clubs.
