كشفت شبكة «سي إن إن» الإخبارية الأمريكية، اليوم(الجمعة)، أن مراسم توقيع مذكرة التفاهم المرتقبة بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران ستكون على الأرجح في جنيف، وهو ما أكدته وكالة أنباء «بلومبيرغ» مرجحة أن يكون التوقيع يوم الأحد القادم.
فيما أعلن مصدر غربي لـ«رويترز» أن توقيع مذكرة تفاهم بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران لوقف الحرب في منطقة الشرق الأوسط قد يتم بحلول يوم الأحد، مضيفاً أن جنيف هي المكان المرجح لعقد المفاوضات. ونقلت الوكالة عن مصادر مطلعة أن نائب الرئيس جي دي فانس سييوقع الاتفاق عن الجاني الأمريكي ، فيما يوقعه عن الجانب الإيراني رئيس البرلمان محمد باقر قاليباف .
وقال المصدر إن نص المذكرة لا يزال قيد الإعداد، وإن إيران تتمسك بموقفها بأن الاتفاق يجب أن ينهي القتال في لبنان، حيث تخوض إسرائيل معارك ضد جماعة حزب الله المدعومة من إيران.
من جانبه، قال رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو في منشور على منصة «إكس»: «ما دمت رئيس وزراء إسرائيل، فلن تمتلك إيران سلاحا نوويا»، مؤكدا أن «هناك اتفاقا كاملا بيني وبين الرئيس دونالد ترمب بشأن هذا الموضوع».
وأضاف نتنياهو أنه أول من عمل منذ أكثر من 30 عاما ضد البرنامج النووي الإيراني، و«لولا ذلك لكانت امتلكت منذ زمن طويل قنابل ذرية لتدمير إسرائيل»، حسب تعبيره.
وفي وقت متأخر من الخميس، أعلنت إسرائيل أن الولايات المتحدة أكدت لها أن مصالحها الأمنية ستؤخذ في الاعتبار في أي اتفاق مستقبلي مع إيران.
وذكر مكتب نتنياهو أن ترمب وعد بأن يشمل الاتفاق النهائي مع طهران إخراج اليورانيوم المخصب الإيراني، وتفكيك منشآت تخصيب اليورانيوم التابعة لها.
وأضاف أن ترمب أكد لرئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي أيضا، أن «أي اتفاق سيفرض قيودا على إنتاج إيران للصواريخ وينهي دعمها لوكلائها في المنطقة، بما في ذلك حركة حماس وحزب الله».
ووفقا لمكتب نتنياهو، فقد تحدث مع ترمب عن «مذكرة تفاهم تتبلور ملامحها» بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران تهدف إلى الدخول في مفاوضات، وأشار مكتب نتنياهو إلى أن إسرائيل ليست طرفا في هذه المحادثات.
ومن المتوقع على نطاق واسع أن يضع مثل هذا الاتفاق الإطاري الأساس لمفاوضات أكثر تفصيلا بشأن نقاط الخلاف الرئيسية، وتستمر الجهود الرامية للتوصل إلى هذا الاتفاق منذ أسابيع.
The American news network “CNN” revealed today (Friday) that the signing ceremony for the anticipated memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran will likely take place in Geneva, a fact confirmed by the “Bloomberg” news agency, which suggested that the signing could occur this coming Sunday.
A Western source told “Reuters” that the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran to halt the war in the Middle East could take place by Sunday, adding that Geneva is the likely venue for the negotiations. The agency reported from informed sources that Vice President JD Vance will sign the agreement on behalf of the American side, while it will be signed on behalf of the Iranian side by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf.
The source stated that the text of the memorandum is still being prepared, and that Iran insists that the agreement must end the fighting in Lebanon, where Israel is engaged in battles against the Iranian-backed Hezbollah group.
For his part, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated in a post on the “X” platform: “As long as I am Prime Minister of Israel, Iran will not possess nuclear weapons,” emphasizing that “there is a complete agreement between me and President Donald Trump on this issue.”
Netanyahu added that he was the first to work against the Iranian nuclear program for over 30 years, and “if it weren’t for that, they would have long since possessed atomic bombs to destroy Israel,” as he put it.
Late on Thursday, Israel announced that the United States had assured it that its security interests would be taken into account in any future agreement with Iran.
Netanyahu’s office mentioned that Trump promised that the final agreement with Tehran would include the removal of Iranian enriched uranium and the dismantling of its uranium enrichment facilities.
It added that Trump also assured the Israeli Prime Minister that “any agreement will impose restrictions on Iran’s missile production and end its support for its proxies in the region, including Hamas and Hezbollah.”
According to Netanyahu’s office, he discussed with Trump a “memorandum of understanding taking shape” between the United States and Iran aimed at entering negotiations, and Netanyahu’s office noted that Israel is not a party to these talks.
Such a framework agreement is widely expected to lay the groundwork for more detailed negotiations on the main points of contention, and efforts to reach this agreement have been ongoing for weeks.
