وتأتي زيارة وزير الدفاع الأمير خالد بن سلمان، وممثلي دول الاتفاقية، إلى طهران، امتداداً لجهود سياسية ودبلوماسية سعودية تستهدف فتح قنوات التواصل، ودعم مسارات الوساطة التي تقودها قطر وباكستان، وتهيئة الظروف اللازمة لتسوية الأزمة بالحوار والتفاوض، بعيداً عن خيارات التصعيد وتداعياتها الخطيرة.
وتؤكد هذه التحركات، أن المملكة لا تتعامل مع أمن المنطقة بوصفه شأناً محلياً محدوداً، بل مسؤولية إستراتيجية تتطلب تنسيقاً إقليمياً ودولياً، لتغليب لغة المصالح المشتركة، والعمل على منع الأزمات من التحول إلى صراعات مفتوحة لا تقتصر أضرارها على أطرافها المباشرة.
وتبرز أهمية تحرك دول اتفاقية مكة في قدرتها على الجمع بين حماية المصالح الأمنية، وتوظيف الدبلوماسية لتقريب وجهات النظر، ومعالجة الهواجس المتبادلة، وتعزيز الثقة بين دول المنطقة، فالحفاظ على الاستقرار لا يتحقق بالشعارات، وإنما بمواقف مسؤولة، وقنوات تفاوض فاعلة، والتزام واضح بمبادئ حسن الجوار واحترام أمن الدول وسيادتها.
كما أن نجاح هذه الجهود، يرتبط بمدى استعداد طهران وواشنطن للتعامل بإيجابية مع المبادرات المطروحة.
At a regionally sensitive timing, Saudi Arabia and its partners in the Mecca Agreement for joint defense are moving to de-escalate tensions and prevent the region from sliding into a new military confrontation, in a move that reflects a deep awareness of the magnitude of the risks threatening the security and stability of the region and the interests of its countries and the world.
The visit of Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman and representatives of the agreement’s countries to Tehran comes as an extension of Saudi political and diplomatic efforts aimed at opening channels of communication, supporting mediation efforts led by Qatar and Pakistan, and preparing the necessary conditions for resolving the crisis through dialogue and negotiation, away from escalation options and their dangerous repercussions.
These movements confirm that the Kingdom does not treat the security of the region as a limited local matter, but rather as a strategic responsibility that requires regional and international coordination to prioritize the language of common interests and work to prevent crises from turning into open conflicts whose damages are not limited to their direct parties.
The importance of the Mecca Agreement countries’ movement lies in their ability to combine the protection of security interests with the use of diplomacy to bridge viewpoints, address mutual concerns, and enhance trust among the countries of the region.
