كل ما اجترّت الصحافة الأمريكية اليسارية وقيادات الحزب الديموقراطي شعارات عن انتصار إيران في الحرب، عليك أن تفكر مرتين قبل أن تصدق ذلك، وبعيداً عن المناكفات السياسية وتحريك المكينة الإعلامية لتحقيق بعض المكاسب في الانتخابات النصفية، فإننا نعاني مع مشكلة في المعرفة أو الإبستيمولوجيا كما يسميها الفلاسفة، فالمعرفة عند كثيرين محدودة بالنموذج الذي جربوه مع إيران وليس النموذج الذي وضع ترمب فيه إيران اليوم.
وقد سمعنا عبارات تشير إلى أن إيران دائماً تخسر في الحرب ولكن تكسب في المفاوضات، ولكن هذا الأمر غير دقيق اليوم بسبب ضحالة المعلومات عن الداخل الإيراني، ومحدوديتها على مستوى طبقات الوقاية الإيرانية، وأعني بذلك الوكلاء والحلفاء، وإذا بدأنا بالداخل فاللكمة الخطافية التي وجهها الرئيس ترمب بحصار الحصار الإيراني للمضيق، وصولاً إلى قصف بندر عباس قبل أيام بمجرد تحرك منصات صواريخ وقوارب سريعة لزراعة الألغام، يعني أنه يفاوض ويده على الزناد، وطبعاً لا أحد يعرف عدد القتلى ولا المصابين تبعاً للتعتيم الإعلامي.
وبالحديث عن الدواء وصلت الزيادة على بعض أسعار الأدوية حوالى 400% إن وجدت، ولا يمكن الحديث عن الخدمات الطبية وتجاوز عنصر أساسي وهو الكهرباء، حيث كانت تعاني إيران من مشاكل بنيوية ناتجة عن تطوير الشبكة، وجرّاء الحرب أشارت تقديرات مركز أبحاث غرفة التجارة الإيرانية إلى أن انقطاعات الكهرباء تسبب خسائر اقتصادية يومية تقارب 18 تريليون تومان، أي حوالى 136 مليون دولار، وهذا يؤثر على عدة صناعات من ضمنها الصلب في أصفهان ويزد وخوزستان، والأسمنت، والسيارات، والصناعات الغذائية.
العملة بطبيعة الحال خسرت حوالى نصف قيمتها مقارنة بنفس الفترة من العام الماضي، وبالتالي تأثر المواطنون على مستوى الغذاء وإيجارات المنازل التي ارتفعت بشكل مهول خاصة في طهران، وتأثر الغذاء لأكثر من 90 مليوناً يعيشون في إيران، معدل أعمارهم 34 سنة، هذا يعني أن جلّهم عرف الحياة بعد الإنترنت والأجهزة المتنقلة، وهذا يجعلهم أقرب لمقاومة قرار إيقاف الإنترنت من مقاومتهم للعدو الأمريكي، فالإنترنت قُطع في يناير جرّاء الاحتجاجات، ثم عاد قبل أن يقطع مجدّداً مع انطلاق الحرب.
واليوم الحديث من مسؤولين إيرانيين عن إعادة الإنترنت، وزيارة قاليباف لقطر لتجنّب تكرار ما حصل من قيود أمريكية سابقاً، بحيث استلمت إيران أموالها المجمدة لدى كوريا الجنوبية كبضائع، وعودة ملف الأموال المجمدة كملف رئيسي على طاولة المفاوضات، يدل دلالة كبيرة على حجم الضغط الشعبي الموجود، والذي يمثل امتداداً للاحتجاجات التي خرجت في يناير وراح ضحيتها الآلاف، فلم تكن احتجاجات يدفعها البحث عن حرية التعبير بل كان محركها رغيف العيش.
وإذا نظرنا للأذرع التي من المفترض أن تكون حائط صد أولي، فلم يبقَ منها شيء، الحوثي وكما نقول بالدارجة المحلية (طاق حوله) كناية عن التجاهل المقصود، وحماس تعاني من تضييق إسرائيل للمسافة بين التعيين والتأبين، وآخرهم محمد عودة، القائد الجديد للجناح العسكري لحركة حماس والذي اغتيل بعد أسبوع من تعيينه، بالإضافة إلى القصف اليومي لحزب الله ووصول التحذيرات الإسرائيلية لإخلاء النبطية، والتقديرات تشير إلى أنه في أحسن تقدير يملك حوالى 20% من أسلحته التي كان يملكها قبل أكتوبر 2023، ومن ناحية طوّر محلياً صناعات الدرون، لكن لا يجب التقليل من تأثره بسقوط بشار الأسد، وشح الأموال من إيران والتي كانت تزوده بمليار دولار سنويا.
وعلى مستوى حلفاء إيران، جاء الرد واضحاً من الصين حول إغلاق مضيق هرمز، حيث ترفض هذا الأمر وترفض تحصيل رسوم على العبور، ومن جانب آخر لا يبدو أن الصين طالبت بشيء لإيران خلال زيارة ترمب الأخيرة لبكين، ولكن الأدهى والأمر أن حتى شركاء الاتفاق النووي السابق من الدول الأوروبية، لا يبدو أنهم يأبهون كثيراً لما يحصل إلا على مستوى تأثيره اقتصادياً عليهم، فلا هم في وفاق مع ترمب حتى يهبون لدعمه، ولا هم على أدنى تقدير يمارسون أي ضغط سياسي لإنضاج اتفاق سريع، ولديهم في القارة العجوز مشاكلهم في الهجرة والطاقة وروسيا.
إذن ما كانت تمتاز به إيران والذي سمّاه الرئيس الراحل إبراهيم رئيسي الصبر الإستراتيجي، يواجه تحديات كبيرة خاصة مع إغلاق ترمب لعدد كبير المسامات التي كانت تنفذ الدولارات منها لطهران في ظل العقوبات، صحيح أن الوقت عامل ضغط على أمريكا أيضاً، لكنها جعلته عامل ضغط أكبر على طهران المطالبة بإطعام تسعين مليوناً.
في أغسطس الماضي فعّلت الترويكا الأوروبية (بريطانيا وألمانيا وفرنسا) «آلية الزناد» لإعادة العقوبات الأممية على طهران، واليوم يتفاوض الحرس الثوري مع ترمب وحده دون الدول الخمس الأخرى في اتفاق 2015 ويده على الزناد.
Every time the leftist American press and Democratic Party leaders churn out slogans about Iran’s victory in the war, you should think twice before believing that. Away from political bickering and the media machinery aimed at achieving some gains in the midterm elections, we suffer from a problem of knowledge or epistemology, as philosophers call it. For many, knowledge is limited to the model they experienced with Iran, rather than the model that Trump has placed Iran in today.
We have heard phrases suggesting that Iran always loses in war but wins in negotiations. However, this is not accurate today due to the shallow information about the Iranian interior and its limitations at the level of Iranian protective layers, meaning the proxies and allies. If we start from within, the hook punch delivered by President Trump with the Iranian blockade of the Strait, culminating in the bombing of Bandar Abbas a few days ago as soon as missile platforms and fast boats moved to plant mines, means he is negotiating with his hand on the trigger. Of course, no one knows the number of dead or injured due to media blackout.
Speaking of medicine, the increase in some drug prices has reached about 400% if they are available at all. It is impossible to talk about medical services while overlooking a fundamental element, which is electricity. Iran has been suffering from structural problems resulting from network development, and due to the war, estimates from the Iranian Chamber of Commerce Research Center indicate that power outages cause daily economic losses of nearly 18 trillion tomans, or about 136 million dollars. This affects several industries, including steel in Isfahan, Yazd, and Khuzestan, cement, cars, and food industries.
The currency, of course, has lost about half of its value compared to the same period last year. Consequently, citizens have been affected in terms of food and housing rents, which have skyrocketed, especially in Tehran. Food has been impacted for more than 90 million people living in Iran, with an average age of 34 years. This means that most of them have known life after the internet and mobile devices, making them more inclined to resist the decision to cut off the internet than to resist the American enemy. The internet was cut off in January due to protests, then returned before being cut again with the onset of the war.
Today, Iranian officials are talking about restoring the internet, and Qalibaf’s visit to Qatar aims to avoid a repeat of previous American restrictions, as Iran received its frozen funds in South Korea as goods. The return of the frozen funds file as a main issue on the negotiation table indicates a significant level of public pressure, which represents an extension of the protests that erupted in January, resulting in thousands of casualties. These were not protests driven by the quest for freedom of expression, but were motivated by the struggle for a loaf of bread.
If we look at the arms that were supposed to be the first line of defense, nothing remains of them. The Houthis, as we say in local dialect, are “out of the loop,” a euphemism for intentional neglect. Hamas is suffering from Israel’s tightening of the distance between appointment and eulogy, the latest being Mohammed Awda, the new leader of Hamas’s military wing, who was assassinated a week after his appointment. In addition, there is the daily bombing by Hezbollah and the Israeli warnings to evacuate Nabatieh. Estimates indicate that, at best, he possesses about 20% of the weapons he had before October 2023. Locally, he has developed drone industries, but one should not underestimate the impact of Bashar al-Assad’s fall and the dwindling funds from Iran, which used to provide him with a billion dollars annually.
Regarding Iran’s allies, the response from China regarding the closure of the Strait of Hormuz was clear, as they reject this matter and refuse to collect transit fees. On the other hand, it does not seem that China demanded anything from Iran during Trump’s recent visit to Beijing. However, the more alarming issue is that even the partners of the previous nuclear agreement from European countries do not seem to care much about what is happening, except for its economic impact on them. They are neither in agreement with Trump to rush to support him, nor are they exercising any political pressure to expedite a swift agreement, as they have their own problems in the old continent concerning immigration, energy, and Russia.
Thus, what Iran used to excel at, which the late President Ebrahim Raisi called strategic patience, faces significant challenges, especially with Trump’s closure of many channels through which dollars flowed to Tehran amid sanctions. It is true that time is a pressure factor on America as well, but it has made it a greater pressure factor on Tehran, which is required to feed ninety million people.
Last August, the European troika (Britain, Germany, and France) activated the “snapback mechanism” to reinstate UN sanctions on Tehran. Today, the Revolutionary Guard is negotiating with Trump alone, without the other five countries in the 2015 agreement, and his hand is on the trigger.
