أعلن رئيس الوزراء الباكستاني شهباز شريف، أن اتفاق السلام بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران أصبح أقرب من أي وقت مضى، مرجحاً إتمامه خلال 24 ساعة.
وكشف شريف في منشور على منصة «إكس»، اليوم (السبت)، أن «باكستان تستعد للتوقيع الإلكتروني على اتفاق السلام بين أمريكا وإيران فور إتمامه، على أن تعقب ذلك محادثات فنية الأسبوع القادم».
وأعرب شريف عن شكره للولايات المتحدة وإيران على التزامهما المستمر خلال المفاوضات، وقدّم امتنانه لدول المنطقة على دعمها. وأضاف: «نحن واثقون بأن هذا الاتفاق التاريخي للسلام سيشكل أساساً قوياً لتحقيق سلام دائم».
وكان وزير الخارجية الباكستاني إسحاق دار، رحب بـ«التقدم المشجع نحو تفاهم بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران»، لافتاً إلى أنه تحدّث مع نظيره السويسري إجنازيو كاسيس.
وعبر دار وكاسيس وفقاً لبيان الخارجية الباكستانية، عن أملهما في أن تسهم الجهود الأمريكية الإيرانية في تحقيق السلام والاستقرار الإقليميين.
وكانت تقارير عدة رجحت أن يتم توقيع الاتفاق المرتقب بين أمريكا وإيران في مدينة جنيف السويسرية. و من المنتظر أن يسافر كبار المسؤولين الباكستانيين إلى المدينة لحضور مراسم التوقيع.
ويستعد رئيس الوزراء الباكستاني وقائد الجيش عاصم منير ونائب رئيس الوزراء وزير الخارجية إسحاق دار للسفر إلى جنيف لحضور توقيع مذكرة التفاهم بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران، في حال التوصل إلى توافق بشأن التفاصيل النهائية.
وذكرت مصادر في وزارة الخارجية ومكتب رئاسة الوزراء الباكستانية أن إسلام أباد تبذل جهوداً حثيثة لصياغة النسخة النهائية لمذكرة التفاهم بين واشنطن وطهران، قبل سفر الوفد الباكستاني الرفيع إلى جنيف.
The Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced that the peace agreement between the United States and Iran is closer than ever, likely to be completed within 24 hours.
Sharif revealed in a post on the “X” platform today (Saturday) that “Pakistan is preparing for the electronic signing of the peace agreement between the US and Iran as soon as it is finalized, followed by technical talks next week.”
Sharif expressed his gratitude to the United States and Iran for their continued commitment during the negotiations and thanked the countries in the region for their support. He added, “We are confident that this historic peace agreement will form a strong foundation for achieving lasting peace.”
The Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar welcomed the “encouraging progress towards an understanding between the United States and Iran,” noting that he spoke with his Swiss counterpart Ignazio Cassis.
According to a statement from the Pakistani Foreign Office, Dar and Cassis expressed their hope that the US-Iranian efforts would contribute to achieving regional peace and stability.
Several reports have suggested that the anticipated agreement between the US and Iran will be signed in the Swiss city of Geneva. Senior Pakistani officials are expected to travel to the city to attend the signing ceremony.
The Pakistani Prime Minister, Army Chief Asim Munir, and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar are preparing to travel to Geneva to attend the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran, should an agreement be reached on the final details.
Sources in the Foreign Ministry and the Prime Minister’s Office have indicated that Islamabad is making diligent efforts to finalize the memorandum of understanding between Washington and Tehran before the senior Pakistani delegation travels to Geneva.
