أصدر المركز الوطني للأرصاد تقريراً إحصائياً لمقارنة كميات هطول الأمطار في مناطق السعودية في الفترة من 1 إلى 16 أبريل 2026، مع المعدلات المناخية للفترة المرجعية، استناداً إلى بيانات محطات الرصد المأهولة والأوتوماتيكية. وأوضح التقرير، أن متوسط هطول الأمطار على مستوى المملكة خلال هذه الفترة بلغ 20.3 ملم، مقارنة بالمعدل الطبيعي البالغ 7.8 ملم، مسجلًا زيادة قدرها 12.5 ملم عن المعدل الطبيعي.
وبيّن، أن توزيع كميات الهطول على مستوى المحطات المأهولة أظهر تسجيل 11 محطة كميات أعلى من المعدل، و11 محطة ضمن المعدل الطبيعي (±5 ملم)، فيما سجلت 4 محطات كميات أقل من المعدل، ما يعكس تفاوتاً في توزيع الأمطار بين مناطق المملكة.
وأشار التقرير إلى أن أعلى زيادة عن المعدل سُجلت في محطة أبها بواقع (+139 ملم)، في حين سُجل أعلى نقص عن المعدل في محطة الطائف بواقع (-12.1 ملم). كما سجلت محطة أبها أعلى كمية هطول بلغت 163 ملم، كثاني أعلى كمية هطول تاريخياً على هذه المحطة، تلتها محطة خميس مشيط بكمية بلغت 59.3 ملم.
وفي ما يتعلق بمحطات الرصد الأوتوماتيكية، أوضح المركز أن محطة خميس مشيط سجلت أعلى كمية هطول بلغت 72.8 ملم، فيما سجلت محطة السودة في أبها كمية بلغت 40.6 ملم، مما يشير إلى وجود تباين مكاني ملحوظ في كميات هطول الأمطار داخل المدينة الواحدة.
The National Center of Meteorology issued a statistical report comparing rainfall amounts in various regions of Saudi Arabia from April 1 to April 16, 2026, with the climatic averages for the reference period, based on data from manned and automatic observation stations. The report indicated that the average rainfall across the Kingdom during this period reached 20.3 mm, compared to the normal average of 7.8 mm, marking an increase of 12.5 mm over the normal average.
It was noted that the distribution of rainfall amounts across the manned stations showed that 11 stations recorded amounts higher than the average, 11 stations were within the normal range (±5 mm), while 4 stations recorded amounts lower than the average, reflecting a disparity in rainfall distribution among the regions of the Kingdom.
The report pointed out that the highest increase over the average was recorded at the Abha station with a total of (+139 mm), while the highest deficit from the average was recorded at the Taif station with a total of (-12.1 mm). The Abha station also recorded the highest rainfall amount of 163 mm, marking the second highest historical rainfall amount at this station, followed by the Khamis Mushait station with an amount of 59.3 mm.
Regarding the automatic observation stations, the center clarified that the Khamis Mushait station recorded the highest rainfall amount of 72.8 mm, while the Al-Soudah station in Abha recorded an amount of 40.6 mm, indicating a notable spatial variation in rainfall amounts within the same city.
