الاهتمام الذي توليه السعودية للشقيقة سورية يأتي انطلاقاً من الشعور بالمسؤولية تجاه كل أشقائها في المحيط العربي وسعيها الممتد لتحقيق الاستقرار وتحصين الوضع العربي بفتح مسارات جديدة تدعم تحقيق التنمية والرخاء وإعادة الأمل إلى شعوبها في حياة تسودها عوامل الاستقرار والرفاه.
وتأتي زيارة الرئيس السوري أحمد الشرع للمملكة في إطار التفاهم المشترك بين الرياض ودمشق في مختلف المجالات، خصوصاً أن المملكة أدركت منذ وقت مبكر أهمية الدور السوري في المحافل الإقليمية والدولية، وعملت بكل قوتها على إعادة دمشق إلى المحيط الدولي بعد أن نجحت في تكريس وحدة التراب السوري والوقوف ضد كل ما يهدّد سيادتها.
ومع النشاط الدبلوماسي الموسع للمملكة في نصرة سورية ودعمها عملت أيضاً على تعزيز نشاط إنساني غير مستغرب تجاه الشعب السوري عبر مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة والأعمال الإنسانية ودعم المتضررين والمحتاجين بجسور من المساعدات الجوية والبرية والبحرية، وتوّجت الرياض نشاطها بدعم اقتصادي غير مسبوق لسورية بحزمة كبيرة من الشراكات الاستثمارية والعقود الإستراتيجية لتمكين السوريين من إعادة البناء وتحقيق الوحدة والاستقرار.
The attention that Saudi Arabia pays to its sister Syria comes from a sense of responsibility towards all its brothers in the Arab sphere and its ongoing efforts to achieve stability and fortify the Arab situation by opening new pathways that support the realization of development and prosperity, and restore hope to its peoples for a life characterized by stability and welfare.
The visit of Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara to the Kingdom comes within the framework of mutual understanding between Riyadh and Damascus in various fields, especially since the Kingdom recognized early on the importance of the Syrian role in regional and international forums, and worked vigorously to reintegrate Damascus into the international community after successfully consolidating the unity of Syrian territory and standing against all that threatens its sovereignty.
Alongside its expanded diplomatic activity in supporting Syria, the Kingdom has also worked to enhance humanitarian efforts towards the Syrian people through the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works, providing support to the affected and needy through air, land, and sea aid bridges. Riyadh culminated its efforts with unprecedented economic support for Syria through a large package of investment partnerships and strategic contracts to empower Syrians to rebuild and achieve unity and stability.
