في حادثة درامية دامية تجردت فيها مشاعر الأبوة من رحمتها، تبددت أحلام المجد الكروي داخل الملاعب وتحول مستقبل لاعب كرة قدم ناشئ إلى كابوس مرعب انتهى داخل غرف التحقيق وأروقة المحاكم، بعد أن قضت محكمة الجنايات الكبرى بالسجن المشدد لمدة 15 عاماً بحق أب أنهى حياة ابنه بوحشية مفرطة.
وانكشفت فصول الفاجعة حين وقع في يد شقيق الضحية مقطع فيديو مصور يوثق لحظة قيام الفتى (الذي كان يخطو خطواته الأولى كلاعب كرة قدم) بفعل طائش تمثل في سرقة حذاء من داخل أحد المساجد. وما إن وصل الخبر إلى مسامع الأب حتى اشتعل غضباً وعصفت به النزعة الانتقامية، ليحيل جدران المنزل إلى ساحة تعذيب همجية، نال فيها من جسد ابنه بضربات متكررة مستخدماً يديه وقدميه وماسورة صلبة.
ولم يتوقف جحيم الاعتداء إلا بعد أن سقط الفتى غارقاً في دمائه، مهشم الجمجمة ومصاباً بنزيف دماغي حاد، ليُنقل على وجه السرعة إلى المستشفى ويخضع لعمليات جراحية طارئة عساها تعيد إليه النبض، غير أن جسده الغض لم يصمد طويلاً أمام قسوة الضربات، وفارق الحياة متأثراً بإصاباته الفادحة.
وأمام هيئة المحكمة، وأثناء محاكمة الأب، رأت المحكمة عدم توافر نية القتل المسبقة لتعدل التهمة من «القتل مع التعذيب بشراسة» إلى «الضرب المفضي إلى الموت»، وأصدرت حكماً أولياً بالسجن لعشر سنوات، قبل أن تقرر تغليظ العقوبة ورفعها إلى 15 عاماً بإضافة نصف المدة نظراً لسجله الجنائي وتكراره ارتكاب الجنايات.

The chapters of the tragedy unfolded when a video recording came into the hands of the victim’s brother, capturing the moment the boy (who was taking his first steps as a football player) committed a reckless act by stealing a shoe from inside one of the mosques. As soon as the news reached the father’s ears, he erupted in anger, and a vengeful instinct took over him, turning the walls of their home into a savage torture chamber, where he inflicted repeated blows on his son’s body using his hands, feet, and a hard pipe.
The hell of the assault did not cease until the boy collapsed, drenched in his own blood, with a shattered skull and suffering from severe brain hemorrhage. He was rushed to the hospital and underwent emergency surgeries in hopes of restoring his pulse, but his tender body could not withstand the brutality of the blows and he succumbed to his grievous injuries.
Before the court, during the father’s trial, the court found that there was no premeditated intent to kill, thus amending the charge from “murder with brutal torture” to “assault leading to death,” and issued an initial ruling of ten years in prison. However, it later decided to increase the penalty to 15 years by adding half the term due to his criminal record and the repetition of his offenses.
