وُقّعَت اليوم (الثلاثاء) اتفاقية «سعودية – يمنية» لتوريد مشتقات نفطية دعماً لتشغيل محطات توليد الكهرباء في مختلف المحافظات اليمنية، بقيمة 150 مليون دولار، مقدمة من المملكة العربية السعودية عبر البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن إلى وزارة الكهرباء والطاقة.
ووقع الاتفاقية المشرف العام على البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن السفير محمد بن سعيد آل جابر، مع وزير الكهرباء والطاقة المهندس عدنان الكاف، وذلك برعاية رئيس مجلس الوزراء اليمني الدكتور شائع محسن الزنداني.
دعم سعودي لـ70 محطة يمنية لتوليد الكهرباء
ويغذي دعم المشتقات النفطية «الديزل والمازوت» أكثر من 70 محطة لتوليد الكهرباء في مختلف المحافظات اليمنية، تعزيزاً لاستقرار خدمات الكهرباء واستمرارية تشغيلها، ودعماً للقطاعات الحيوية والخدمية المرتبطة بالطاقة الكهربائية.
ويأتي هذا الدعم امتداداً لنهج المملكة العربية السعودية الراسخ في مساندة الشعب اليمني وتخفيف معاناته الإنسانية، خصوصاً في ظل ارتفاع درجات الحرارة، وبما يسهم في تحفيز الحركة التجارية، وخلق فرص العمل، وتعزيز النمو الاقتصادي في اليمن.
اتفاقية لاستدامة أعمال «بترومسيلة»
كما وُقّعَت اتفاقية بين شركة النفط اليمنية «بترومسيلة»، ووزارة الكهرباء والطاقة اليمنية، والبرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن، للمساهمة في استدامة أعمال «بترومسيلة» كشركة حكومية، بما يعزز من قدراتها ويرفع كفاءة أدائها واستمرارية خدماتها، دعماً للحكومة اليمنية.
يأتي الدعم وفقاً لحوكمة شاملة لضمان وصول الدعم إلى المستفيد النهائي، عبر لجنة عليا مرتبطة برئيس الوزراء، وتضم عدة جهات يمنية تعمل على الإشراف والرقابة على توزيع المشتقات النفطية على محطات الكهرباء، بناءً على الاحتياج المحدد لمحطات توليد الكهرباء في المحافظات اليمنية.
الدعم السعودي للكهرباء اليمنية
يُذكر أن البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن قدم منحاً للمشتقات النفطية في عام 2018 بقيمة 180 مليون دولار، ومنحة في عام 2021 بقيمة 422 مليون دولار، إضافة إلى منحة في عام 2022 بقيمة 200 مليون دولار، ومنحة في عام 2026 بقيمة 81.2 مليون دولار.
وتأتي المنحة الحالية بقيمة 150 مليون دولار في وقت يشهد ارتفاعاً في درجات الحرارة، والحاجة الماسة إلى رفع جودة الخدمة الكهربائية، بما يسهم في تحسين الحياة اليومية والمستوى المعيشي للأشقاء اليمنيين.
Today (Tuesday), a “Saudi-Yemeni” agreement was signed for the supply of petroleum derivatives to support the operation of electricity generation stations in various Yemeni governorates, valued at 150 million dollars, provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen to the Ministry of Electricity and Energy.
The agreement was signed by the General Supervisor of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, Ambassador Mohammed bin Saeed Al Jaber, with the Minister of Electricity and Energy, Engineer Adnan Al-Kaf, under the auspices of the Yemeni Prime Minister, Dr. Sha’if Mohsen Al-Zandani.
Saudi Support for 70 Yemeni Electricity Generation Stations
The support for petroleum derivatives “diesel and mazut” fuels more than 70 electricity generation stations in various Yemeni governorates, enhancing the stability of electricity services and the continuity of their operation, and supporting vital and service sectors linked to electrical energy.
This support comes as an extension of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s steadfast approach to assist the Yemeni people and alleviate their humanitarian suffering, especially in light of rising temperatures, contributing to stimulating commercial activity, creating job opportunities, and enhancing economic growth in Yemen.
Agreement for the Sustainability of “Petromasila” Operations
An agreement was also signed between the Yemeni Oil Company “Petromasila,” the Yemeni Ministry of Electricity and Energy, and the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, to contribute to the sustainability of “Petromasila” as a government company, enhancing its capabilities, improving its performance efficiency, and ensuring the continuity of its services, in support of the Yemeni government.
The support is provided according to comprehensive governance to ensure that the assistance reaches the final beneficiaries, through a high committee linked to the Prime Minister, which includes several Yemeni entities working on supervising and monitoring the distribution of petroleum derivatives to electricity stations, based on the specified needs of electricity generation stations in the Yemeni governorates.
Saudi Support for Yemeni Electricity
It is worth noting that the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen provided grants for petroleum derivatives in 2018 valued at 180 million dollars, a grant in 2021 valued at 422 million dollars, in addition to a grant in 2022 valued at 200 million dollars, and a grant in 2026 valued at 81.2 million dollars.
The current grant of 150 million dollars comes at a time of rising temperatures and an urgent need to improve the quality of electrical service, contributing to enhancing the daily lives and living standards of our Yemeni brothers.
