The youth inflicted a heavy defeat on their guest Al-Ahli, overcoming them with a score of six goals to one, in the match that took place on Friday evening, as part of the 12th round of the Saudi Pro League. On a night when the youth’s Belgian captain, Yannick Carrasco, shone by scoring a hat-trick of three goals, Al-Ahli finished the match with ten players after their goalkeeper Abdulrahman Al-Sanbi was sent off.
The six goals for the youth were scored by: Carrasco with three goals (25th minute, and two penalties in the 66th and 82nd minutes), Ricardo Matias (two goals in the 2nd and 48th minutes), and Roger Martinez (from a penalty in the 37th minute).
The youth imposed their superiority from the early minutes, as Ricardo Matias opened the scoring early in the 2nd minute, before his teammate Carrasco doubled the lead with a second goal in the 26th minute, taking advantage of the disorganized start of the Al-Ahli team, which suffered a severe blow when their goalkeeper Abdulrahman Al-Sanbi was sent off in the 22nd minute.
The youth continued their attacking pressure, benefiting from the numerical disadvantage of their guest, adding the third goal through Roger Martinez in the 37th minute from a penalty, before Firas Al-Breikan reduced the deficit for Al-Ahli by scoring his team’s only goal in the 40th minute.
With the start of the second half, the youth maintained their dominance, as Carrasco added the fourth goal in the 48th minute, before Al-Ahli’s suffering multiplied with two more goals from Carrasco from penalties in the 66th and 82nd minutes, ending the match with a score of six to one.
The match revealed significant defensive struggles for Al-Ahli, who were unable to keep up with the youth’s attacking momentum, especially after the early red card. Meanwhile, the home team delivered one of their most prominent attacking performances of the season, led by Carrasco, who was undoubtedly the star of the match.
With this result, Al-Ahli faced a harsh defeat that complicates their efforts to get closer to the top teams, as their points remain at 21, while the youth achieved an important victory, raising their tally to 14 points and boosting their ambitions to improve their position in the standings.
